HAYES' POV:
(a part 2 from last chapter)

I'm coding.
Amelia: "he's coding. Charge 250 clear"
it's my abdomen there's still free fluid. You need to cut.
Bailey: "10 blade he has free fluid in the abdomen still. Hayes stay with me Meredith can't handle another death."
Meredith is a strong women she will be fine.
Bailey: suction. More suction.
I'm gonna die. You're going to kill me.
Amelia: he's going to die.
Bailey: "ahh shut up. No one is dying. His abdominal artery is cut. 3.0 prolene"
I miss Meredith.
*distant medical words*

FLASHBACK//

Meredith the boy's and I were out for lunch there was an empty table outside the boy's went to sit at. It was just me and Meredith. Meredith ordered a salad and so did I. As we were waiting for the waitress to bring our meal's out we talked. I was looking at her and felt like I was floating. "Doctor Grey hai degli occhi molto belli, potrei fissarli tutto il giorno." I said smiling. It meant 'doctor grey you have very pretty eyes I could just stare at them all day' Meredith smiled. She has this smile that well it just stops my world. She smiles and I get this feeling all over my body. "grazie mille hayes" we are looking at each other in the eye. She's sitting next to me because we are sitting in a booth. I wanted to kiss her so bad. Her lips look so soft, like you could just get lost in them. I felt myself slowly moving closer to her so I looked away, to the boy's. I look back at her and put my hand on her thigh. We sat there like that for a minute untill I say "Voglio baciarti. Voglio mettere la mia mano sulla tua guancia, avvicinarti a me e baciarti." (I want to kiss you I want to put my hand on your cheek pull you close and kiss you) She turn's her head to look at me smiles and says "Cosa stai aspettando?" I look at her and raise an eyebrow making sure I heard her right... "did you just say what are you waiting for?"  "Yes Hayes. Kiss me." Meredith smiled.

Bailey: let's close him and get him to the ICU.
Amelia: thank you for scrubbing in.
Bailey was already in the scrub room.
I should have kissed her. I should have grabbed her held her close and kissed her but I didn't, and now the women I love I may never be able to hold and kiss and hug.

MEREDITH'S POV///

The boy's were still on their phones. It was getting late it was already 5:34 so I asked them if they wanted something to eat. Liam said yes but Austin said no. "Austin bud you need to eat. I know you scared about your dad and so am I but you need to eat." I said. "Fine I don't know where youre going but get me something." I sigh at his response. "Austin come on let's go to my house we can get something to eat and if you boys want I can take you back to your house to get anything you need." I was scared. It had been 7 hours since Hayes went into the OR but I could show the boys. Amelia came running into the room. "Hey, he's good we have him and he's in the ICU. We are keeping him in the ICU for a few hours and then you guys can see him." Thank god. I still needed to go to the house to help get the kids ready for bed and I wanted to get a hoodie. "Okay thank you Amelia. Boys we are still gonna go get food and go to our houses."
Austin looked at me and goes "this would all be easier if we just lived in one house together" Liam laughed at Austin's comment. "Ha ha ha very funny, get in the car." I responded.

We pull in the drive way. I turn around to look at the boys and said "okay so I have 3 kids Zola, Bailey, and Ellis. They are crazy and when we leave Ellis will probably cry. Do not stop walking if she cry's keep walking all the way to the car, got it?" Austin and Liam looked at each other giggled and said "got it" Liam said "you sound like a mom" I look at him "well that's good because.. I am."  We all laughed.
I told Zola kinda what happened. I put the kids to bed of course Ellis cried. "Oh you weren't joking" Austin said. I laughed "no I want" I gave the babysitter $50 and asked her to spend the night. She agreed.

When I got to Cormac's house we all got out. I forgot to get a sweatshirt at my house so I asked the boys to show me where their dads room was. I got a sweatshirt for me. I got Cormac grey Nike sweatpants a blue tee-shirt that said "Cozumel Mexico" and a hoodie. I grabbed his toothbrush too. I walked downstairs telling the boys to pack a bag for the night and tomorrow. "Boys clothes, charger, pjs, blanket, toothbrush." They didn't need much but enough for one night and day.

We got back in the car and decided to go get take out from cheesecake factory. I got tomato basil pasta Austin got Mediterranean grilled chicken and Liam got an American cheese burger. We got to the hospital and we back to the room we were in before we at dinner then I told the boys to get their stuff. We moved to a different room that was close to an on all room. "Okay boys dad is gonna be in this room, the on call room is where I will sleep-" Austin cut me off "no dad would want you with him Liam and I will sleep in the on call room and you can sleep here with day. Well be fine" I sighed at the idea of that but I kind of liked it. "Fine but you and Liam need to lock the door so no one comes in." We all know what happens in on call rooms here... and I don't need Hayes getting mad at me for letting his teenage boys see someone about to have sex.
