Thing's changed

I never seriously wanted to hurt anyone. I was just going to go scare the kids and cormac. I was never going to pull the trigger, but then? Things changed.

"Hey I got paged 911? What's up?" I say "Scrub in. I need you to scrub in. I know he's family but I need you." Bailey says. I run to the scrub room, scrub in and save Liams life. I was crying the whole time. "Meredith Grey. You need to take a breath. Forget you know him." Bailey says. "What do you mean forget I know him Bailey? He's my fucking son." I say very upset. "Make up a new name and story. Forget him." She replies. I take a breath "Dean. His name is Dean and he is Italian has brown curly hair and green eyes. He's 15 and he doesn't have a family." I did what I could. Liam made it and went to the ICU. Dean. I chose Dean for the twins. I wasn't fully over the miscarriage. I wanted babies. I want babies. I want Cormac's babies.

CORMAC'S POV/://:

"What? Why did you page me? I'm family." I say. "I know you're family but you're our only peds surgeon." Richard says. "If you don't scrub in and help she will die and Cormac I promise you your surprise for Meredith next month will be called off." He says. That scares me because I love Zola so much, and I need that surprise to happen. "Okay I'll go scrub." I say. Before I scrub in I put my hand in my pocket and pull out that box. A small square box. I open it look inside for a minute, then snap it closed and put it back in my white lab coat. I scrub in and run into the OR room. "She's coding." Richard says. I grab the defibrillator "charge 150 clear." We all sigh. "Thank god." Okay I got this. "Suction. Retractors. 3.0 prolene." I say. "Let's close and get her to the ICU." I say and walk out, Richard walks right behind me. It's just me and Richard in the scrub room. "Wanna see it?" I ask "sure." He says. I pull out the small box again and hand it to him he opens it. "Oh my gosh Cormac, she'll love it. I can't wait. Are you going to talk to the kids?" He asks as he snaps the box closed and gives it back to me. "I hope she loves it. I can't wait to do it either. Next month!! I am going to talk to the kids. I was supposed to today because I was picking them all up from school but now I'm not sure when I'll talk to them." I say "there's no rush you have a month. Your kids love her and her kids love you I don't think there will be an issue." He says smiling. "Yeah I think it will be fine." I say and we both walk out. "Hey don't tell anyone." I say "now did you really think I was going to do that?" He says crossing his arms. "Never know." I say and start to walk away.

I shot Zola! Shit. Meredith is probably so upset right now. I should go to the hospital. I need to comfort her. I never wanted to pull the trigger I really didn't. But they wouldn't shut up. I thought I fired at the ground. I guess I was wrong.

MEREDITH'S POV:/:/:/

After working on Liam I go to where I left Richard and Austin but they aren't there so I go to Cormac's office. I walk in and see Richard sitting with Cormac. They both go silent as I walk in. "Richard where is Austin?" I ask "I left him downstairs in the waiting room." He says. Cormac just looks at me. "Okay well he isn't there.." I respond clearly concerned. "Well I don't know then maybe he went to the bathroom or something." Richard answers. "How are you going to lose my son and act like it's whatever." I say. Cormac is just kind of frozen. "Your son isn't lost." I hear a weirdly familiar voice say from the hallway. I turn around to see Andrew holding Austin with duck tape on Austin's mouth. Andrew has blood all over him and looks like crap. I breath for a minute looking at Austin in the eyes. Andrew pulls a gun out of his back pocket and holds it to Austin's head. Austin screams it's very muffled because of the tape. Austin is moving all around. "Shut up and stop moving." Andrew says. Austin doesn't listen. "I said to shut up and stop moving. So help me god kid." Andrew says. Cormac gets up and is now standing beside me, so is Richard. I look at Austin giving him what he calls "the mom face" which is really me glaring at him. Austin freezes. "Andrew why are you doing this?" I ask. Cormac grabs my hand. "Because if I can't be with you no one can." Andrew exclaims. "Andrew please." I say. "Why don't you put the gun down, you, Meredith, and I can go upstairs and we can talk about this." Richard offers. "Upstairs? That's the physic ward." Andrew says extremely mad. "Hey bud. You can have Meredith. I don't want her anymore. Take her just give me my kid." Cormac says. I know he's only saying it to get Austin. The second Austin is with him he will be okay again. But it hurt to hear him say he doesn't want me. "Why would you date someone like that?" Andrew says to me. "I don't know. I hate him. I love you, please let's be together just give Cormac Austin and we can run away." I say trying to convince Andrew to let Austin go. "No I'm smarter than that! You're just trying to get the kid." Andrew says. I'm not sure who called or how they knew but I see cops start to walk up behind Andrew and all around us. "No Andrew I'm madly in love with you I was just coming up here to break up with this guy and then I was going to you. Please give him the kid so I can kiss you." I say trying to get Austin out of his arms. "Swap at the same time. He walks you over and we swap at the same time." Andrew says. I look at Cormac. He knew exactly what I was thinking, it was like we could communicate with our eyes. "Deal." Cormac and I say at the same time. Cormac takes my arms and puts them behind my back. He walks over to Andrew. "On 3." Andrew says. "1" Cormac looks up at the cops. "2" I look at Austin. And mouth jump. "3" austin jumps into the room and I duck to the side. "I told you." Andrew screams and then pow pow pow. Gun shots go off. The cops come running over. Cormac was sitting on the floor holding Austin like he was a baby. I was in a ball in the corner and Richard was in front of me. "Ow what was that for?"

Okay this is like the last sad chapter I'm going to wrap this up next chapter and then it should be happy. Should I keep this story going or should I end it?
