What's My Speech Again?

"Cormac Oliver Hayes!" I yell. Cormac smiles putting his sun glasses back on. There was a bench that had a few balloons tied on it, five more yellow roses and a box. Cormac looks at me and smiles. "Open it." He says. I walk over and open it. It had three onesies in it one was grey, one was white, and one was a cream color. There was a note in the box.

Dear Meredith,
    I was so happy when you told me you were pregnant. I couldn't pick just one so I got all three, I know we will need a lot anyway. I just want to say thank you. Thank you for loving me. Thank you for staying with me. Thank you for holding my child. Thank you for loving my boys. Thank you for being here for me. Thank you. Thank you for being you. Meredith, I love you. I love you unconditionally. I will always love you, and I have loved you from the moment I met you. I know I have already apologized for this but I'm sorry for being an ass the first day we met, you didn't deserve that. I cannot wait to hold our baby in my arms. Meredith I promise you this will be hard, we will fight, we will disagree. But I also promise to love you and our family no matter what. I promise to be here for you even when you want me to leave. I promise to care for your kids, my kids, and our kids. I promise to stick with you. Meredith loving you has been one of the best decisions I have ever made. When I'm with you it feels like there is no bad in this crazy world. When I'm away from you all I do is think about you. I think about how you're smile makes me blush. I think about that morning you woke me up really early for work, I didn't want to get up so I started a pillow fight and then I started tickling you. Your laugh made me laugh. I think about how when I'm doing dishes you come up behind me just to hug me for a minute. I think about how kind you are. I think about how much you love your kids. I think about your eyes because could just look at them all day long. Meredith I think about you. I love you. I cannot wait to meet our baby. I can't wait to see you hold it in your arms. I can't wait to hold it. Thank you for being my safe place and our baby's safe place. I love you no matter what.

I was crying reading the note. "Thank you. I love you, I always will." I say standing up holding the note in my hand I hug cormac I'm crying. "Hey don't cry, this is a happy day." He says wiping a tear off my face. "These are happy tears." I reply. He smiles looking in my eyes through his glasses. He places his hand on my jawline traces it with his fingers until he gets to my chin. He lifts my chin up and kisses me. "Don't ever leave me." He says as I break the kiss. "Never." I reply. I am standing next to him with his arm around me looking at all the other islands around. A little boy walks up to us and just stands in front of me. I squat down so I'm eye level with him, "hey buddy." I say. The boy smiles and holds out this envelope. I take it from him "what's this?" I ask as the boy runs away. I stand back up and look at Cormac. "Open it." He says. I open it and look inside. "Babe." I say as I smile. "Mhm?" He hums. The envelope has Polaroid pictures in it if everything we did today. I gasp as I take one out. It was a picture of me with my hand in my face, I was crying and reading the note Cormac had just given me. I take another one out. It was a picture of Cormac dipping me as we were dancing. I smile and put both the pictures back in the envelope with the others. "Today has been amazing thank you. It felt like a movie." I say. "You're welcome." Cormac replies simply. We get back to where the car was parked. Cormac opens the door for me. It was 7:23 at night and the sun was setting soon. Cormac gets in the car and drives us home. We pull into the drive way. "Okay I have one last surprise for you. I need you to leave everything here, the flowers, pictures, necklaces, all of it. I'm going to walk out back and I will text you when I need you. Once I text you come out back but go around the house." Cormac says. "Okay, sounds good." I reply.

I get out of the car so nervous I felt like I was going to puke. I take my sunglasses off, and start to walk on the rose pedals Maggie and Amelia put out. I get to Maggie "hey, thank you." I say. She smiles and greets me with a hug. "Of course. You need the ring right?" She asks. "Yes please. I'm going to hide. Have Meredith stand here facing you when she comes." I reply. Maggie takes the ring out of her pocket placing it in my hand. "Okay." She says. "Daddy!" Ellis yells I kneel down. "Hey baby, where are your brothers and your sister?" I ask. "Bubba is upstairs and sissy is going potty." She replies hugging me. "Okay let's go get them." I respond picking her up and carrying her inside. "Boys! Zola." I yell. Austin and Liam come out if there room holing Bailey's hand. Zola walks out of her room. "You guys ready?" I ask smiling. "Yes." Austin says. "Zola? Bailey? You guys know what to do right?" I ask. "Yes stand by the rocks." Zola replies I nod and smile. "Let's go." I say. We all walk back out side. I take Ellis over by the rocks with my kids and Meredith's kids. I walk back over to my hiding spot.

Meredith starts to walk on the line of rose petals that are on the sand. They are lined by candles. The sun is setting and Meredith's hair is blowing in the wind. "Hello Meredith" Maggie says. "Hey Maggie." Meredith replies. Richard walks over to Meredith. "Mer, I hope you had a good day." He smiles and hugs her. "I did thank you." She replies. I walk out silently and get down on one knee behind her. "Meredith." Amelia says softly. Meredith looks at Amelia who is looking at me. Meredith turns around to see me on my knee behind her. "Oh my god." She yells as both of her hands meet her mouth. She starts crying. Meredith is standing in front of me and I can't speak. I can't open my mouth. Nothing is happening. What do I do? She looks at me bring her hands back down to the sides of her body. I take a breath.

"Meredith Evangeline Grey-" I can't remember my speech. Shit. What am I going to do. Maggie looks at me concerned. Shit. I smile "Meredith Evangeline Grey..."
