I've Been Dreaming About It

It was 9:25 the boy's were in the on call room sleeping. Im sitting in the corner of the room when Amelia wheels in Hayes. He was off the vent but sleeping. I move my chair closer to his bed so I can hold his hand. "Mer tomorrow two police officers are gonna come in to talk to you and Hayes. Andrew is spending the night in jail." I nodded "thank you Amelia, really." She smiled and walked out, closing the door. I grabbed an extra blanket and cuddled up in my chair I was holding Hayes hand as I feel asleep.

It was 11:38 when I felt Hayes tap my arm. "Hey, how are you feeling?" The second he looked at me he smiled, it was the biggest smile I have ever seen. " hi, I'm okay. It hurts but not too bad." He said pushing my hair back. "I'm sorry about what happened Hayes." He looked at me confused "Grey, it wasn't your fault. You have no control over Andrew." I looked at him but didn't really say anything. He smiled out of no where "what are you smiling about?" He looks at me and smiles bigger "what you said to me before surgery." I froze. "You heard me?" He nodded. "Yeah, you said to fight for you. You also said 'Cormac Hayes I need you here, I want a life with you a family.' Which I found complete sexy. Is that true grey? Do you want a family with me?" I was still frozen but I was smiling. "Of course I do Hayes." He smiled again. " looks like my surprise for tonight has to wait." His smile fell a little. "I don't care. All I care about is you being here with me healthy." He holds my hand tighter than before. "Come here." I look at him confused "I'm right here.. what do you mean?" He moves over. "Nooo come here." I smile and get in the bed. He puts his arm around me and holds me tight. My hand is on his chest. "If this hurts you I can go back in the chair" he looks down at me and pushes my hair back "grey shut up and cuddle with me" I lean closer into his chest he rest his head on mine. "The boys are in the on call room. I made sure no one goes in there with them." I said before falling asleep. "Thank you, really grey thank you."

The next morning I wake up Hayes is still cuddling me. "Buongiorno bellezza. come hai dormito?" He said good morning beautiful how did you sleep? I smile because I love when he speaks in Italian, and his morning voice is extremely sexy. I look up at him "I slept good. How did you sleep? How are you feeling? He looked in my eyes. "I'm okay my ribs really hurt and so does my incision. I slept great, how could I sleep bad? You're with me." I chuckled. "Hey Grey, remember when we were out to eat with the boys and they went outside and I told you I wanted to kiss you?" I had thought of that day so much of course I remember it. So I respond with "And I said what are you waiting for but then you never kissed me? Yeah, Hayes yeah I remember." I say messing with him. He laughed which turned into a small cough. "Yes then. What would you do if I kissed you right now?" I stop to think for a minute. "I'd kiss you back. Then I would kiss you again. But that is a very dangerous game to play Doctor Hayes" I say putting my head on his chest. "I like dangerous. I think I'll take my chances." I stop. What did he just say? I look up at him he put his hand on my cheek and looks me in the eyes. "Your lips look very soft..." I want to kiss him but I'm scared. "What if the boys see?" I ask He is still looking in my eyes. "The blinds are drawn and the door is closed. So what if they see?" I put my hand on the back of his neck and pull him close. He kissed me. Slow and soft like he was trying to keep it as a memory. We kiss for a minute, then we stopped. "I said I'd kiss you again" and I pull him close to me and kiss him. This time longer and with tongue. His hands slide up the back of the sweatshirt I was wearing that happened to be his. I pull away for a minute to take a breath. "I told you this was a dangerous game to play." I said. Hayes laughed. "Doctor Grey that was perfect it wasn't dangerous." I look at him and then cuddle back up on his chest "no that wasn't dangerous, it was amazing but if we continue, trust me Hayes it will be very dangerous." He laughed as he played with my hair. "You know I've wanted to do that for a long time now" he tells me. I smile but he can't see. "Oh yeah?"
"Mmhmm" he replies "what took so long?" I say teasing him.

Richard walks in and see's Meredith laying with Hayes he knows it's not allowed but let's her lay there anyway. Richard love to see Meredith happy again. Bailey walks in to check on Hayes. "MEREDITH GREY. Get your ass off of that bed now!" Richard looks at Bailey and then Bailey looks at Meredith who was smiling. "I'm not getting off the bed Bailey." Bailey rolled her eyes and said "fine but if I find out you two do anything gross or inappropriate your both suspended!" Hayes laughed and Meredith said "okay Bailey" Bailey and Richard walked out of the room and closed the door.

I look back up at Hayes I can tell he's in pain. His eyes are closed and he is laying back on the pillow. I put my hand on his cheek and he opens his eyes. God he's hot. I trace his jawline with my fingers stopping at his chin. I pull him close to me "chiudi gli occhi, lascia che ti aiuti." (Close your eyes, let me help you) I whisper he does just that. And then I hear the door open.
