Packing and what not

MEREDITH'S POV::/::/:

I was waiting at the coffee cart for cormac to get there. It's been a while and I really want coffee so I get in line and wait my turn. I feel someone walk up behind me and put their hands on my shoulders. "Ciao Meredith, come ti senti?" (Hi Meredith how are you feeling?) Asks a very thick Irish accent. I gasp at first because I wasn't sure who was talking to me. It was cormac. I lean back into him a little bit, I feel safe when he's holding me. "Ciao Cory, mi sento meglio ora." I reply. He holds me a little tighter for a minute then kisses my cheek and spins me around to face him. "You ready for vacation soon? We have like one week." Cormac asks. "We have 5 days which really mean we have 3 days of work because we took 2 off to pack. Yes I'm ready I'm excited." I answer. "Yes but I need to bring my own bag." Cormac says. I look at him confused he we planned to share one. "Why? I thought we were sharing." I question. "Mmhm we were but now we're aren't. Hey have you talked to Maggie or Amelia today? I need to talk to them." Cormac says changing the subject. "Yes Maggie is in the attendings lounge." I reply "k." He simply says. We get out coffees then head to the attendings lounge to get ready for the day. We walk in to see Maggie "good morning again mer." She says greeting us "morning Maggie." I reply. "Hey Maggie is need a consult on a patient." Cormac says "okay." Maggie reply's and then I get paged 911. "Bye Maggie." I say and then walk over to cormac. "Bye babe love you have a good day." I say kissing him on his lips it was more of a quick peck  and then I run out of the room.

CORMAC'S POV:/:/:/

"Bye love you too, have a good day and text me." I reply to Meredith. "Hey so I need to talk to you." I said to Maggie after I'm sure Meredith is away from the door. "Maggie I'm going to show you this but you cannot say anything to anyone. Got it?" I say very clearly. "Yeah sure? What's up?" Maggie replies. I pull the small box out of my pocket and hold it "shut. Up." Maggie says. I chuckle "shhhh I don't want people to know." I say. "So I wanted to know if it was okay with you if I ask your sister to marry me. I know it's not that big of a deal to you but your like her only family and family matters."

I say "yes, yes, yes you have to ask her. She'll be so happy. Can I see the ring?" Shes asks very excited. "Yes." I say back. I open the box to reveal a huge ring. It's silver, there's a big teardrop shaped diamond in the middle and it's lined with diamonds around the side. "Oh my god cormac." Maggie says. "She's going to love it. When are you doing it?" Maggie questions I smile "I have a trip planned we leave in 5 days me, Mer, Richard and all of the 5 kids. Do you want to come?" I answer. "I don't have a ticket or place to stay." She replies. "I have that covered." I say back. "Okay then sure. Who knows about this?" Maggie asked. "Just you Meredith's kids and Richard I'm going to talk to Amelia and my boys today." I respond. She smiles and then gets paged to OR 2. "Okay just text me about what I need to pack." She says and runs out of the door. I'm so happy she is okay with this. I need to tell my boys so I'm going to pick them up early and I'm paging Amelia 911 to the attendings lounge now. "Hey I got paged 911." Amy says as she walks in like two minutes after I paged her. "Yeah and if I was a patient I would be dead." I respond "yeah but there wouldn't be a patient in the attendings lounge so I went slow." She says I chuckle a little. "Okay well I have something to ask you." I say. She looks at me as she drinks some water with a "what's up" type of face. "It's about Meredith." I reply she stops drinking "alright what's up?" She says. "I wanted to know" I take the box back out of my pocket. "If you would be okay with her and I getting married." I ask. Amelia is frozen. And then the door opens and it's teddy. "Oh uh did I- did I interrupt something?" She asks kind of confused. "I'm no but I guess I should tell you too now." I reply. "I want to marry Meredith and I was asking for Amelias blessing. Do not tell anyone. Don't even tell someone dead. I need this to stay a surprise." I say. Teddy smiles. "Okay well I hope she says yes, congratulations ." Teddy replies. "Thank you doctor Altman." I answer. Then teddy leaves. "Amelia?" I call. "Uh yes you have my blessing. What's the ring look like?" She asks. I open the box to reveal the ring once more. "It's beautiful, she'll love it." Amelia says. "Thank you." I reply. "You love her right? You're not going to leave her or break her heart?" She questions. "I love her. Not more than my first wife because no one will ever replace Abby but I love Meredith, I'd take a bullet for her." I reply Amelia nods. My pager goes off. I'm being paged to the OB floor. I quickly put the ring back into my pocket but I'm still holding it. "Thanks Ameliaz" I say once more and I start to run to the elevator. I get on and it's Richard. "Hey can you do me a favor Richard?" I ask as the door closes. "Uh what's the favor?" He asks. "Well Meredith has been hugging me a lot lately and I've been holding on to it but I don't want her to.." I get cut off by Richard. "Yes I'll hold the ring." He says before I can finish my sentence. "Thank you don't lose it." I say. He looks at me crosses his arms and goes "yeah I've done this once or twice." I chuckle and hand him the ring. The elevator stops on the OB floor and I run out "thank you rich see you soon." I yell. I walk into the nursery area to see doctors standing buy one baby it's a girl.

MEREDITH'S POV/:/:/:

I finished my part of surgery and I need to take a break so I walk up the stairs and go to the place I used to go to take a breath with George, the nursery. I'm keep walking up all the stairs untill finally I find the right door. I go to stand out side the window but my phone goes off. It was just an email from some shopping site. I look up from my phone to see Cory standing in the nursery hold a baby girl. He's smiling and rocking her back and forth. He's smiling so big holding that baby and talking to her. I start to smile too. He looks up and sees me. He waves, "say hi? Say hi Meredith." He says in baby talk because well he was talking to a baby. God he made me want to have a baby. I put my hand on my lower stomach. I would love to be pregnant again. I miss it and pregnancy isn't something that I loved or even liked. He brings the baby closer to the window and he's just rocking her back and forth standing up looking at me. He's in PPE which is gloves, a gown, all that stuff, but he looks so handsome. "I love you." I say he couldn't hear me all the way but he could tell what I was saying "I love you too." He says. There's a mom and dad standing next to me. "She yours?" The mom asks. "Oh Uh no I'm a doctor." I say. "Oh he your husband?" She asks "no he's my boyfriend. But close enough." I respond. She nods. "What one is yours?" I ask. She points to the cutest little baby boy. "Luca." She says "he's beautiful." I reply. "Thank you, doctor?" She asks my name. "Meredith Grey, you can call me doctor Grey." I reply. She put her hand out for me to shake. "Well it was nice to meet you doctor grey." I return the hand shake "you to Uh?" I hesitate. "Linda." She replies "nice to meet you Linda." I say. Cormac was back by the baby's bed thing. She looks up and smiles at me again. "Doctor Grey? Are you expecting?" She asks, "I'm not trying to be disrespectful it just I don't know mother's intuition I guess." Linda finishes her sentence. My hand moves back to my lower stomach. "I- Uh- I-" I stutter because I know Cory can somewhat hear me. "Um- ye- n- I-"
