Super Dad

I wake up, but cormac isn't next to me. I remember he went to check on Ellis so I get up and walk into her room. I smile as I stand in the door way. He's laying on the edge of Ellis's twin bed one arm on top of Ellis and the other hanging off the bed. Zola is in her bed. God I love him. It was still very early, so I decide to go back to my room. I woke up because I didn't feel good. I felt like I was going to throw up. I'm just laying in bed trying to focus on something other than my intense urge to puke all over the place so I go on my phone. It was 4:06 in the morning. I wasn't sure why I felt like this but I did. I mess around on my phone for about 3 minutes until I have to sprint to the bathroom. I threw up all over the place. Shit, was I? No I can't be. I throw up again. I'm just sitting on the floor in the bathroom. I end up falling asleep laying on the bathroom floor. I was sitting on the floor but the floor was cold and I was hot so I decided to lay down. I wake up to the sound of foot step in the bathroom. "Babe, what are you doing?" Cormac whisperers. "Puking. 3 times. Oh god" I say and then sit up and puke again. Cormac hold my hair back. "Uh okay well I was coming to tell you to get ready for work but it looks like you can't go." He says. I know why I'm puking. I'm like a clock. This wasn't normal. "No im fine I just need to shower and brush my teeth." I reply. "Mer you're puking a clearly have been for a while now." He answers me. "Babe I'm fine I promise." I protest. "Okay." He says.

CORMAC'S POV/;/;/;

I leave mer in the bathroom to get ready for work. I walk into the boys room. "Bailey, Austin, Liam, Time to get up lads. It's a school day." I lightly say. Then I walk to the girls room. "Girls. Zola. Ellis. Come on time to get up you have school." I walk back to the boys room to turn on the light. "Boys let's go." I say. Ellis comes walking into the boys room with her stuffed animal, it was an elephant she took it everywhere. "Good morning Ellis." I say as I kneel on the ground so I'm eye level with her. She doesn't say anything but instead wraps her arms around me neck and lays her head on my shoulder. I pick her up and walk out of the boys room. "Boy up let's go, Bailey bud come on." My boys take forever to get ready so if I don't get them up now they will be late. Still holding Ellis I walk back into Meredith's room, I grab the extra clothes I had and threw them on the bed. "Ellis" I whisper. She doesn't move. "Wanna help make breakfast?" I ask. She nods with her head still laying on me. "Ok" I respond. "Zozo come on." I yell as I start to walk down the stairs. "I'm up." She replies. "Okay. Liam and Austin Hayes." I yell to my boys. "Uh what?" Liam says. "Get up and get ready for school." I reply. "Yeah, yeah I'm up." He says back. I walk down stairs still holding Ellis and still in my pjs. I get out 5 glasses fill them all half way with OJ and leave them on the counter. I walk back upstairs and walk into the girls room. "Sit here while I get you clothes okay?" I say to Ellis as I put her down. "I got out some jeans but I think it's going to be to hot for jeans." Zola yells from the bathroom "thank you Zola." I reply. It was going to be warmer today so I got Ellis a dress it had butterflies on it. "Okay here let's get dressed." I crawl over to Ellis. She takes a longer time to wake up and she was up late last night so I was being very patient. I got her dressed and put her hair in to two French braids. I have boys but I used to do Abigails hair when we first met. I pick her back up and walk into the boys room to help Bailey. "Here bud, jeans and a tee shirt." I throw blue jeans and a captain American shirt on the ground. Then walk out. I go downstairs holding Ellis on my left side because I needed my right hand and arm. I make 5 pieces of toast putting peanut butter on all of them and then I cut up and apple and give each kid some of it. "Breakfast!" I yell as I sat Ellis down at the table. "Thank you." She says. "You're welcome." I reply. I run upstairs to get changed into my clothes. I had jeans and a blue shirt. I throw my clothes on then go back downstairs and make some coffee. Zola was eating with Ellis and Bailey. "Liam and Austin, breakfast is down here." I say at the bottom of the stairs. "Coming dad." The say together.  The boys come downstairs to eat then I drive them all to school. "Good bye boys be good." I say to Liam and Austin "bye day love you." They reply as the walk off. "Bye Zola I'll see you later okay?" I say softly. "Bye Cormac have a good day." She replies. All of Meredith's kids had very good manners. I smile and she walks away as I start to drive away. I get to Ellis's school I get Bailey unbuckled and then I get Ellis unbuckled. Bailey is walking holding my hand and I'm holding Ellis. We get inside Bailey hugs my leg and runs over to his friends. I greet Ellis teacher. "Hi I'm Cormac Meredith's boyfriend, we've meet once before I believe. I'm going to pick up the kids today because Meredith is sick." I say as I give her Ellis's backpack. "Okay sounds good." She replies and walks to but her backpack somewhere. I go to put Ellis down but she grabs my neck. "Ellis I'll be back later." I say taking her arm and pulling it off my neck. "But I'll miss you." Ellis replies as she starts to cry. "I know I'll miss you too but I'll see you super soon, okay?" I answer. "Noo" Ellis is really crying now. "Ellis hun I have to go I'm going to be late for work. Here why do you go play on the swing for a minute?" I suggest to distract her. "No daddy I want to go home." She cries. The teacher walks over and holds her hand. Keeping her back so I could walk away. "I'm sorry I really have to go." I say to the teacher "no you're fine go ahead." She replies. I walk away to Ellis crying. She has never cried at drop off. I think she had a rough morning and night. As I get back in the car my phone goes off.
