Keith
I missed Lillian.
We didn't mind talk at all. I got the feeling that she was trying to heal, and I wanted to give her
Space to do that without distraction. Even though I had been occupied with my own mission, I still thought of her every day, especially when I looked down at my hands and noted the ring on my finger.
We're going to be married soon.
I grinned.
I can't wait.
We were heading back to the Atlas after reliving the tragedies of Olkarion, which had been startling, to say the least. The intel we gained from going to Olkarion was crucial to tracking the robeasts. In order to come up with a plan regarding the new information, we headed to The Baltuf Nebula to meet up with the Atlas.
I'll get to see Lillian.
Shiro later changed the rendezvou point, so we headed to the new destination. The terrain of the planet was rough, with a volcano in the centre and sharp rocks and dead trees around it.
"Anyone find it odd that Shiro changed the rendezvou point to this?" Hunk asked as we landed.
"I'm reading high CO2 and low oxygen in the atmosphere," Pidge reported. "We'll need our suits to breathe if we go out there."
Hunk was quick to say, "I'm not going out there."
Beeping came up on my screen, and I noted aloud that the Atlas had arrived.
"Atlas, we have a visual," I said as the massive warship came into view.
But as soon as the words left my mouth, I realised that something was wrong. The Atlas shifted and morphed into a Galra cruiser.
"Paladins, get airborne immediately! This is a trap!" I shouted.
We all took off, but it did nothing when the cruiser pinned us down with some sort of beam.
"It's just like when we were caught by those pirates!" Hunk said.
"We're about to be captured again!" Lance noted.
"Emergency ejection!" I shouted over the panic.
Everyone exited their Lions, and jetpacked across the open space as small Galra fighters began to attack us.
"Atlas, come in!" Allura said through our comms link.
I tried too. "Atas, we're under heavy fire!"
"The Atlas isn't receiving our communications," Pidge said.
We continued to dodge fire, finding cover in the tall dead trees.
"That beam has the Lions pinned," Hunk said as we looked at the situation from afar.
"We must have been set up. But by whom?" Allura asked.
We stayed in our hiding spot. I didn't know what we were supposed to do if our communications with the Atlas were closed and our Lions were pinned. I briefly considered trying to mentally talk to Lillian, but that thought was interrupted when Pidge spoke.
"Guys, we have incoming. It's closing fast."
And by fast, she meant literally right behind us because something started to shoot the moment she finished speaking. We ran for it, using our jetpacks to get over large branches, moving through the forest as quickly as we could.
