Lillian
It took a while for everyone to heal. We went back to earth in a numb phase, wondering what to do next. I knew at some point we'd plan a wedding, but I didn't know when, and I knew the universe still needed a lot of help from the Paladins.
Right now, it seemed everyone needed time to heal, mentally and physically. After years of battle, it was going to take some time to realise we didn't need to fight anymore.
We took a month to calm down. Living at the Garrison had its perks because everything was provided for us, especially if you were a commanding officer. While we worked to process everything that happened, it was easy to take care of ourselves as a result.
Finally, we planned our wedding. We decided to get married before we went back out into the universe to bring the Galra together and reorganise the Blade of Marmora. We were going to have our hands full, and we wanted to do it together.
On the day of the wedding, I was nervous. I had seen Keith once that morning, and then the rest of the day was spent getting ready for the ceremony, which would take place in the evening. It was an outdoor wedding, of course, right on the cliff facing the sunset near the house that Keith grew up in, the house that would soon be ours.
My wedding dress was a deep purple to represent my Galra heritage and Blade of Marmora affiliation, and my hair was mostly down, with part of it curled in a bun at the back of my head. Romelle wove flowers into my hair and touched up my makeup, and I felt the most beautiful I had in a while.
You're always beautiful.
Thanks.
I blushed. I couldn't wait to marry him.
Keith
I was excited, not nervous. I wanted to be at the end of the aisle, waiting for her, right now. But I still had to get ready.
Lance was going to be my Best Man since Shiro was officiating the wedding. Hunk and Katie were also going to walk as groomspeople. Mom was walking with Lillian, Josh was standing in as her Man of Honour, and Romelle was walking too.
Lillian and Romelle had become good friends, and Lillian's friendship with Axca had grown as well. I was proud of her and the progress she'd made. Lillian had had so much to heal from, and she had been able to do that with the war at an end.
I changed into my Garrison uniform, my pins signifying all my achievements in Voltron, the Blades, and the Garrison, decorating it. This was how military weddings worked, after all, and Lillian and I were still soldiers, through and through. Even though we wouldn't be fighting battles, we would be working hard to bring people together and provide relief to the planets still struggling to get on after years of oppression.

Everyone congregated on the cliff. It was a fairly big wedding, with most of the Garrison in attendance as this was the first wedding in years where both parties had graduated and worked at the Garrison. This wedding would go down in history. Two half-galra, half-human Blade of Marmora members, Garrison Commanders, and one member of Voltron, married to form a permanent alliance between each organisation, but also married for love.
Shiro walked down the aisle first, taking his place underneath the arch that Lillian and I would be married in front of. I walked out next, bursting with excitement and energy.
The bridal procession started, with Josh and Lance walking out at the same time, mom and Hunk following with Romelle and Katie behind them.
And then the crowd stood, watching as Lillian emerged holding a bouquet of flowers in a long, flowing, purple dress.
You are so beautiful.
I smiled.
She held eye contact, and I could tell she was nervous.
I didn't need you to tell me to know it's true.
Good.
Finally, she was standing in front of me, holding both my hands after passing her bouquet to Josh.
"We are gathered here today to join Keith and Lillian in marriage, both of them soldiers who have fought in the war to save earth, and who will continue to end oppression throughout the galaxy," Shiro began.
I stopped listening, staring into Lillian's eyes as she tried not to shake from the anxiety.
This moment is the happiest of our lives.
She grinned.
Yeah.
"It is time for your vows," Shiro said quietly, just to us.
I went first.
"Lillian, when we first met, I didn't think I'd end up falling for you. I didn't think I was going to like you. You were my superior, and I hated it. But through that time training with you, I fell. And I fell hard. And now, I don't know what I would even do without you. You will always be my partner. My partner in the Blades, my partner in the Garrison, you were my partner in Voltron, and now you will be my partner for life as we embark on the adventure that is marriage, and as we travel throughout the universe to bring hope and peace to those who need it. I love you so much. For as long as I live, I will love you, and even in the next life, I will find you."
Lillian was crying.
I squeezed her hand.
She took a breath, wiped her eyes, and began to speak.
"Keith, when you entered the Blade of Marmora base for the first time, I was immediately attracted to you. When you fought me in the trials, twice, I was intrigued by the fact that you wouldn't give up. Even if it led to your death, you weren't going to stop fighting. The moment you awoke your blade, I knew I was going to be ruined forever. I fell for you in our training too, and I grew a connection with you and your Lion, and in turn, Voltron itself. You inspired a new power inside me, and you are the only reason that I kept going when things got bad. Now, you're stuck with me, everything about me. The anxiety, the fear, but also the joy, and the hope. I love you, Keith, and the journey we've been on...I wouldn't trade it for anything else in the world."
I may have shed a few tears myself.
We stared at each other, smiles on our faces.
"Then with the power vested in me by the Galaxy Garrison of Arizona, I pronounce you husband and wife. Keith..." Shiro said, but I was already kissing her, putting on a small show for the audience as we kissed so passionately for a few moments.
We broke apart, holding hands, and Shiro said one more thing as we walked down the very long aisle.
"For the first time ever, I give you Mr. and Mrs. Keith Kintanara-Kogane."
