Lillian
When I woke up, Keith had his arms around me. For the briefest moment, I thought I was having a dream, a happy one. I leaned back in his arms, almost smiling until the realisation of events hit me.
I sat up immediately, regretting it when I felt pain throughout my body.
Why am I in pain?
I looked at Keith, my eyes asking the question too.
Because of your connection to Voltron. We got pretty banged up.
Oh.
"Paladins, to the bridge," Shiro said through the PA system on the Atlas.
Keith looked at me. "Do you want to come with?"
I nodded. "Yeah."
He helped me stand up, and then he held my hand as we made our way to the Bridge.
When we got there, I knew something wasn't right.
We're about to head into our final battle.
Yeah. We don't have much longer left in space.
"Honerva's been off the grid since we left Oriande," Shiro said, our attention turning to him. We were all staring at an orange hologram map of coordinates I assumed Shiro would eventually describe. "We just detected a wormhole signature at coordinates Beta-Four-X-Seven. Unfortunately, without Allura's ability to wormhole, we'll never get to her."
"We need to call a meeting," Keith said.
With that, we made an announcement over the PA and headed for the meeting room.
Keith and Pidge stood at the head of the table with Shiro across from them. The rest of the Paladins and other Atlas crew members sat around the table in no particular order. The MFE pilots were present and standing, as was Kolivan and Axca. I sat next to Krolia at the end of the table.
"We now know why Honerva retrieved Lotor's mech. Since it's made out of the same comet ore as Voltron, it has the ability to pierce realities. Honerva is going to use Lotor's mech to find her version of a perfect reality." Keith began with all the facts, laying it all out for the rest of the team to hear.
"Perfect reality?" Romelle asked, shocked. "Does that even exist?"
"She's searching for it right now," Lance said. "And if it exists, she'll find it?"
Pidge continued, "The problem is the trans-reality ore has been travelling between realities for millions of years. And it's a naturally occurring phenomenon. What Honerva is doing is forcing that process to happen, which could have catastrophic side effects on this and any reality she travels through."
The room began to send into silence and darkness.
The situation we were facing was very bad.
"So, what's the plan?" Hunk asked, looking around hopefully, filling the silence because he didn't want to accept the fate we would receive if we didn't figure out a way to defeat Honerva. "Maybe we can...we can make a giant tractor beam? Sam, you could do that, right? Make a giant tractor beam? We could...we could pull her to us and then blow her up with a star bomb! Pidge? A star bomb?"
"There is no plan, Hunk," Lance said, his tone turning depressing. "We know what Honerva wants to do, but we can't get to her. And even if we could, she has the ability to wormhole away. Without Allyra, we can't chase her, and we can't form Voltron."
"Well, we have to do something." Keith spoke with determination, inspiring hope in the people that were listening to him rather than giving them something to fear about. "We'll prepare for battle. We need to be ready to face Honerva."
