Keith
We were going in for a closer attack, trying to stop Lotor and Honerva before they pierced realities. I was shot down, Hunk was shot down, and the rest of us were in bad shape from the attack. We hadn't been able to form Voltron because Allura had had to get Hunk back to the fight via wormhole. The rest of us had fought as best we could.
"Paladins, report status," I said after we had all seen Lotor's and Honerva's mechs combine into the same machine.
"I'm offline," Lance said first.
"Me too," Pidge agreed.
"Uh, guys, are you seeing this?" Hunk asked.
I turned my attention to the threat in front of me.
"That's how she's getting in," Pidge said softly.
"What do you mean?" I needed a clear description of what she was doing. I didn't want to make those inferences myself.
"Honerva. She's using those wings to pierce the barriers between realitis. It's her entrance point!" Pidge explained briefly.
"Our universe is collapsing, just like the day we lost the Castle of Lions. Those wings are causing the very fabric of our reality to disintegrate!" Coran had known how to fix it then, but I didn't know if he'd know how to fix it now.
"Then we're gonna stop that thing before it breaks through. Yellow Lion's back!" Hunk's Lion powered up again.
"Hunk, get your passengers back to the Atlas," I ordered. We didn't need more casualties in this battle.
"Copy that."
The robeasts began to move again, and Pidge noted that they were heading directly our way.
"Just in time!" Pidge said with excitement. "My Lion's responding!"
"Mine, too," Lance said.
"Allura, do you copy?" I asked through communications. "Can you get to your Lion? We're going to need Voltron."
"Hold on. I'm coming," she reported.
"In the meantime, the Atlas has you covered," Shiro said through our link with the Atlas.
"Wait, what about the collapsing universe? We need to stop it!" Coran reminded us.
"Coran, we're counting on you to figure something out," I said, afterall, this was more his area than ours, and we were already in a heated battle.
"What?" he asked in disbelief. "Me? I don't know anything about that!"
"Then find someone who does!" I shouted. "We need to stop that weapon before it breaks through realities. Paladins, do everything you can to keep the robeasts distracted. Let's give the Atlas a shot."
We're in our final battle. This is it.
When it's over, there will be no more war.
Crazy, right?
I didn't have time to think. The Atlas crew was going through their transformation sequence, so we became the last line of defence. We became engaged in a battle with the robeasts once again. Hunk rammed one of them with his Lion, and Lance approvingly congratulated his shot.
"Guys, I'm going in to stop Honerva," I said. There was no other way to do it. We needed every threat occupied with something.
However, Honerva had other plans. She somehow took hold of my Lion, locking it in some sort of dark energy ball, and just before she would have killed me, the Atlas stepped in to save my life.
I ordered a fall back. We weren't going to be able to get past the robeasts and Honerva as five single Lions.
We were going to need Voltron.
Lillian
I was distracted.
We were supposed to be commandeering a ship and bringing it to our side of the war, but I couldn't focus.
Keith was in distress, and I could feel it. In fact, I felt it too much.
All of his feelings were amplified, making it hard for me to feel anything on my own.
Krolia and Kolivan ordered me to stay aboard the pod we had brought. I would be the get-away pilot if things went wrong.
Keith was feeling despair and hope at the same time. He was trying to lead his group, but he didn't know how, especially with the many things getting in the way.
Calm down.
It's going to be okay.
There was a sensation, one of immense hope and slight discomfort as I realised that Voltron had become more powerful than I thought it could.
Suddenly, he was gone, probably through another reality.
I got scared, anxious about what was going on.
This is why I wanted to be with him.
We're ok.
And then he was gone again.
Josh came sprinting to the pod.
"The ship is ours!" he shouted from a distance away. "Let's get to the bridge."
I exited the pod and followed Josh.
"Krolia is on the ship with the cannon, and she said that you get to be in charge of this one. The rest of the fleet is going to follow us," Josh explained.
I nodded. "That's great. I'm glad we were able to convince them to come to our side."
"How's your mind?" Josh asked, looking slightly concerned.
"They're okay, for right now."
"Good."
We launched into hyperspeed immediately, locating Honerva's pyramids on our scanners.
"Coran, it's Krolia," she said as we got out of hyperspeed at our chosen destination. "What can we do to help?
"Oh, thank the ancients you're here!" Coran sounded relieved. "We need all the energy we can harness to prevent the rift from expanding further."
"Copy that!" she said.
"Galra fleet, adjust the frequency of your ion cannons and aim at the pyramid structure," I instructed.
The entire fleet bgan to shoot their beams at the pyramids, generating electricity to hold the rift open for Voltorn.
No.
Oh no.
There was an explosion on the pyramids.
"The Galra fleet have depleted all their energy, and the Balmerans and Alteans are at their limit. At this rate, we won't be able to contain the rift!" Sam informed with a nervous shout.
It was about to close, and there was nothing we could do about it.
Why couldn't I have just gone with you?
The rift closed.
Keith was stuck on the other side.
I didn't know how he'd get back.
I didn't know if I'd ever see him again.
