It was the longest week of my life. I had to stay in bed, mostly laying down unless I was eating. My unit stayed with me the majority of the time, Josh and Kiana more than everyone else. The other three were working on deciphering the intel.

When Keith was supposed to come in for his mission with Kolivan and Regris, I didn't see him. He must have needed to rush back to Voltron or something. As much as I wanted to see him, I wasn't surprised. Our moment after we had woken up was something I really didn't ever want to return to. All those feelings I had woken up with and the stuff we had confessed with each other... Oof, messy. We were both generally impassive people. We never let our emotions show.

This is going to be awkward for the unit.

I was allowed out of bed a couple days later. Josh, Kiana, and Ava, my "doctor," were there to assist me. I leaned on both Josh and Kiana as they helped me and Ava watched and assessed. It was difficult to walk at first. It hurt. As I had been shot in my lower right back, it was hard to move that leg without causing pain. But I tried my best.

I was then allowed to sleep in the barracks with my unit, but I was not allowed to walk without one of my unit members supporting me or being near me. No one wanted me to fall. I felt that it was excessive, however, necessary. Sometimes I did feel like I was going to pass out again.

I spent most of my time in the Central Control Room, watching security feeds, looking through intel, and helping Kolivan check in and plan other missions. The secret supply route had so far been masked until I came across something.

"Hey, Kolivan?" I asked.

He walked over to my desk and looked at what I had pulled up.

"If that's right..." I trailed off.

"Pull up the coordinates," he instructed.

I pulled up the coordinates that I had uncovered. Sure enough, there was a Galra cruiser floating through space on a route we hadn't mapped.

"I'll get Keith and Regris, and we'll get moving. I'll let you know when we get back," he said as he walked from the room.

Great. And I'm useless once again.

"Kiana," I said through my comm link.

"Yes, General?"

"I need you to come up to Central Control."

"On my way," she said.

There was no way I was going to sit at my desk and wait for them to return. I needed to get up and move around. Besides, I would only continue to be useless the longer I waited to attempt to train again. I needed to be able to walk by myself as soon as possible.

When Kiana arrived in the room, I used her to get up, but held her at an arm's length as I tried to walk a little on my own.

"Lillian, you're not going to be allowed on a mission any time soon, you know that, right?" Kiana asked.

Why does she always have to give me a reality check?

"I have to be," I said, panting.

"Then I suggest you stop acting like walking is taking so much from you."

"But it is," I whined.

"Exactly my point. You can barely walk, so how do you expect to be able to do a backflip and sprint five miles?" She asked.

"That's going to take awhile to get back into," I muttered.
