Time went by and I was now Lance Corporal Levi and humanities strongest.
I don't care about that at all but when that happened (Y/n) was super happy about it for some reason. Don't get me wrong I love seeing her happy but this was a little out of character for both of us. Mostly her. I mean all I did was win a fight against Mike and she encouraged me so much that once I won she practically jumped on me. I've never seen this side of her.
It was a little overwhelmed but she eventually turned back to normal. Things were different now though. I had my own squad. I had my own set of irritating paperwork and one more down side was that I wouldn't be able to see (Y/n) often.
I mean, I know we're friends and I sometimes feel weird around her but to not see her often makes me... Upset to say the least.
She's such a big part of my life now. She helped me through everything but what have I done? How do I repay her for being part of my life?
I can't believe I'm going to say this but I'll have to talk to shitty glasses about this. I already know I'm going to regret this...
I made my way to the brat's office and didn't even bother to knock. "Hanji-"
"Oh shorty hey!" Hanji said while trying to experiment on something.
"I can't believe I'm saying this but... I fucking need your help."
Her eyes shimmered,"Oh?!"
She walked right up to me and grabbed my shoulder,"What do you need, Shorty?"
"Tsk. I'm uh... Thinking of doing something... For (Y/n). To repay her for the kindness she has shown me but uh..."
"Aw!!!! You don't know what to get her so you came to me!!!! Aw, how sweet! I can see it now... You and (Y/n) being together, Married and your adorable children! Ah! Perfect!"
I blushed,"Oi! Who said... A-Anything a-about... M-me a-and (Y/n)?!"
"Ah! You're blushing! So you do like (Y/n)!"
"What?! No! Stop assuming things! I just wanted to know if you know something she'd like as a repay gift but no nevermind!" I yelled and was about to leave but I bumped into someone where I fell on my ass.
"Hey Hanji I-"
I looked up from the ground and saw none other then (Y/n) herself. She was as beautiful as ever... Wait what?!
"Oh Levi, I'm sorry I didn't know you were here." She said and held her hand out for me to grab.
"Uh... I... Um..." I didn't know what to say nore do.
She was always so breathtaking. Her kindness was a blessing. Her personality was like a rose with thorns. If I ever plucked that rose I'm sure I'll get hurt... But still I'd have that pretty rose.
Her... Her and her imperfections... But I'd have her... The light in my life...
Wow, did that sound cheesy! Seriously, what's going on with me?!
"Um, Levi?"
I snapped out of my thoughts and grabbed her hand,"Right, sorry."
"It's fine. Are you here to help Hanji as well?"
"What? Oh no I just came in here because... Uh because I needed to... Uh find something out from her. It's just paperwork, don't worry."
"Oh... You could've come to me, you know?"
"Uh right sorry I didn't think. I guess I just didn't want to bother you..."
"You'd never bother me." She said with those kind eyes again. I could get lost in them...
"(Y/n)..." I muttered.
"Yea?"
"Did I say that out loud?! Shit sorry. Um anyway I'm uh going to Go now, bye." I quickly said and ran out the door without her saying anything.
I ran to my office and locked myself in. My heart was pounding out of my chest. I'm pretty sure my face was all red.
"Snap out of it, Levi!" I mentally slapped myself.
I decided it was best to finish up all of my paperwork and then tomorrow go into town to find something. Hours has passed and I was still not finished. I swear if this keeps me up all night and I'm still not done, I'm giving up and throwing myself to the Titans!
"Knock knock" I heard a female voice say before coming in.
It was (Y/n).
"Oh hey, what are you doing here?" I asked laying back in my chair.
"Checking on you since you ran out on me earlier." She said before sitting down on my couch.
"Oh... Sorry..."
"No no, it's fine. I get it, I'm very scary." She said sarcastically.
"Oh ha ha!" I said sarcastically.
"So what happened? Why'd you run out on me?"
"Oh... Like I said I needed help with something and Hanji helped."
"... What about me?" She sounded sad like I just broke her heart.
"It's just I didn't want to bother you." I said trying to not make it any worse.
"But you'd never bother me, Levi. Even when I'm extremely frustrated I'll still make time for you."
"Uh... I'm sorry..."
"It's okay. Anything else?"
"Um no... I don't think so."
She hummed,"You sure? I get the feeling you're lying to me."
Oh shit! She's going to figure it out! Damnit (Y/n)! Stop asking questions!
"Um no... I mean yes I'm fine! Thank you." I said blushing all over again.
She gave me a look. A look that says "I don't believe you one bit". She stared at me for a minute then was about to exit but I stopped her.
"(Y/n)!"
She turned back to me.
"Uh... It's just... I was asking Hanji about... Well... I noticed that I haven't done anything... For you... And so I asked shitty glasses if she had any ideas but she was useless and I was frustrated with myself because... I was worried and I didn't want to trouble you and since you've been there for me throughout everything, I want to repay you... So yea. That's why I left sooner... "
"Levi... You..." She walked up to me, came around the table and set her hand on my shoulder. "You don't need to repay me. Just you being here for me is enough." She smiled.
She actually smiled! Her smile is beautiful. This smile was kind, special. I felt like I had to hug her. I felt like I had to have her in my life forever. I felt like she was suppose to stay with me forever. As cheesy and cliche it was, I think I finally found something worth fighting for...
