Episode 16: Strangers Part 1

It's been a week and Every Recruit's 3DMG were being checked but so far the MP's couldn't find anything. No one has used their 3DMG... At least That's what they thought. Everyone was very frustrated about it but kept on going with their lives.

(Y/n) and Sam stayed behind after Hanji's Titan experiments were killed, they had to help out on cleaning and the Recruit's final enlisting. Even though they were back in the Survey Corps, commander Keith and the Military Police personally asked for help. It was tired work and a lot of paperwork but they got through it.

Once the day came for the recruits to choose where to enlist it was very nerve-wracking. Erwin made the big speech about what the Survey Corps do and when their next expedition will be. He told everyone about Eren's basement and told them about the deaths that they'll be facing head on.

(Y/n) thought back to the day when she first enlisted into the Survey Corps with...

She looked down trying not to see their faces from a far but couldn't help but feel longing and sad. Even though it's been years... She still felt their presence and longing for them to be with her one last time.

"Damn I shouldn't be thinking about this!" She thought.

Once the speech was done everyone left except 15 or so people. They then devoted their hearts by saluting the Survey Corps way. Seeing all their faces made (Y/n) feel worried but proud. Though she wasn't showing it or noticed how she was feeling, she was some what excited for these next terrible months.

~Time skip~

The next day the recruits were lectured, learned and trained for the next expedition in a month. (Y/n) helped out by training and teaching them about the Titans and how to use 3DMG property in the forest.

Things were surprisingly going smoothly but sometimes Reiner and Berthold were lurking around her office. She found it very strange and lectured them about it but all they said was that they wanting to ask her something but always forgot. She didn't buy it but acted if it was nothing.

"I'm going to have to keep a close eye in them..." She thought.

Days passed and right now (Y/n) was having a one-on-one combat fight with Petra. They've been getting close recently and one day Petra challenged you to a fight. She obviously agreed and so this was were they both were. Levi and the rest of his squad plus Sam were watching closely.

After a few minutes of the fight, you obviously won. You weren't humanity third strongest and Fiercest for nothing after all. Petra was in the ground feeling a bit ashamed for losing. Nobody saw this but You however noticed how she felt.

You held out a hand for her to grab,"You did exceptionally well. Better than Sam if I say. Keep training and you'll soon surpass me." You gave her smirk.

She blushed, nodded and grabbed your hand,"Th-thank you, (Y/n)... I-I'm sorry for hurting you before and thank you for your kind words."

You nodded and told Levi you were going to take a break. He nodded and kept on training with the rest. You walked towards your office to get some rest and greeted everyone who walked by. It wasn't usual for anyone if you greeted them. It was a kind offer and made everyone happy since it felt like you were actually acknowledging them.

Once you were close to your office, you saw that your handle was broken. You found that extremely strange and had a bad feeling about this.

Out of instinct, you took out your knife which was in you boot and held it tight. Ever since the Recruits came to the Survey Corps you kept your knife in your boot just in case. You felt like you were being watched and you knew exactly who was watching you.
