As promised, I spoke to Flagon and he obviously question it but later accepted. I checked on Adam and he was sleeping peacefully in the medical bed. Lunch was good. Victoria apologize and Sam stopped acting like a cry baby. We talked until lunch was over and everyone had to go back to training.

A week has passed and the expedition was the next day. I obviously lectured my squad about being safe. Adam was fully healed but I ordered him to be safe for this expedition because we never know if he'll pass out on us.

The day went on quickly and soon enough everyone went to bed. I was busy with paperwork but soon got really bored that I decided to go and watch the stars. The stars were always so beautiful here. I couldn't understand how bright and eternal they looked here but I absolutely loved it. Watching the stars was the highlight of my night when I couldn't sleep.

I went to the top of HQ and sat on the roof in silence, enjoying the stars. Although there weren't any stars in the damn sky. I clicked my tongue in annoyance but waited for the sky to not be cloudy anymore but who knows how long that will take!

I wonder about the expedition and about what the commander told me but I was more worried about Levi and his friends.

"Maybe I could tell them to forget about the expedition? Come up with something." I said out loud to myself.

I heard the door open and saw Levi. He sat down and muttered something under his breath but I couldn't hear it. I looked at him questioning why he was here but I quickly remembered that he just argued with his friends about their safety for the expedition.

"This is my chance to change his mind!" I thought.

"Levi?" I asked quietly.

He heard me and turned his head,"Oh (Y/n)... I mean Captain."

"You don't need to use formalities if it's just us two." I said before jumping off the roof and stood next to him.

"What are you doing here?" He asked.

I lifted my head up to look at the sky,"I wanted to see the stars."

"Tsk... Well there aren't any." He pointed out. I chuckled,"Yea but they'll come. We just have to wait."

He turned to me and looked surprised.

"What?"

"Y-you... Chuckled..."

"Huh? Oh... Um.. yea?" I said nervously. "I mean I am human."

"It's just... I kinda thought you don't like to smile or laugh."

"Oh I do. I just show it rarely. There's not a lot of things to smile or laugh at for me, you know?"

He nodded in acknowledgement and looked back at the sky. There was silence for a moment but I took this opportunity to talk some sense into him. I looked at him wondering what I should say. I bit my lip and muttered,"Damn it"

I took a deep breath and started,"Levi..."

He hummed.

"Listen... We already know you and your friends are after those papers and are here to kill Erwin."

His eyes widened and looked at me,"You... What..?"

My expression soften,"Levi forget about that deal. It's not worth it. You and your friends can have a life here or you could be part of the scouts while your friends have a life far from the underground. I know you care deeply for them so please for my sake and theirs... Don't go after Erwin. It's going to be a complete waste of time. It's not worth it. Just... Protect your friends and yourself."
