While playing with his nephew Harold, Nolan had a severe and mild heart attack, and Marva Lynn called 911. Marva Lynn had an alternate doctor who had his cheap procedure.
Before the surgery, Marva Lynn's sister Marie passed away before Thanksgiving, and she went to her funeral without Nolan. She didn't tell him for a month until now.
On the day of the surgery, Dr. Nick proceeds with the surgery but quickly realizes he doesn't know what to do. Fortunately, Lisa — who has studied cardiology — is in the operating room amphitheater and tells Dr. Nick that in order to begin the surgery he must cut below the blockage, and Dr. Nick seems to take it from there, in fact, Milt grabs Lisa and told her to sit down. Amazingly, the surgery is a success, and Nolan makes a full recovery and make his cousins Paul, Grady, Ed, Fran, Bill, Mick, Roy, Fred, Karl and Milt very proud.
