Following a Sunday School lesson regarding the existence and nature of Hell, Lisa becomes terrified of violations of the Ten Commandments, the adherence to which she is assured will keep one's soul safe from Hell, while Kevin becomes amused by repeating the word "Hell" on the car ride home, and he was grounded not to watch TV until a month. She fears that because Nolan violated the Eighth Commandment, he will go to Hell when he passes on. She additionally opposes other examples of common and harmless thievery, including her mother's tasting of grapes in a grocery store which she has not paid for, the security guard kicks Marva Lynn, Lisa and Marla Lynn out for not eating grapes until a week. Lisa pays a visit to the reverend at church, where he suggests that Lisa cannot turn her father into the police, and instead encourages Lisa not to watch anything on Nolan's cable hookup, setting a good example.

Nolan invites his friends Paul, Grady, Ed, Fran, Bill, Mick and Roy to watch boxing at Nolan's home. Meanwhile, Kevin has set up posters on the back door for his showing of the adult-only channel "Top Hat Entertainment" for 50 cents, but is caught a few seconds later by Nolan. Nolan told Kevin not to watch that stuff and Kevin was grounded for two months (As Nolan added).

At night, Nolan and friends were watching a Cassius Clay (now Muhammad Ali) and Doug Jones fight. Before that, Marva Lynn send Kevin, Lisa and Marla Lynn to aunts Delphine and Walburga's house. Clay won the match and they all cheered.
