On Thursday afternoon, while watching TV, Nolan and Kevin observe a commercial for the quarter midgets race. Nolan said about the quarter midget race Saturday night, however, Lisa's musical recital is still the same night. However, Mick came at the door said there was a funeral for Doyle, the high school friend of Mick and Roy which is Saturday afternoon, and he told all of them not to go anywhere. Lisa asked Mick about the recital, and she changed her mind, and Mick told Kevin not to go to the quarter midget race until next week.
Saturday afternoon, the funeral is held for Doyle, and Saturday night at 7:00, Lisa's recital with school classmates is in session.
A week later on Saturday afternoon, Kevin's quarter midget is good to go, but lost to Dennis, Kevin's classmate.
Although Paul, Grady, Ed, Fran, Bill, Mick and Roy asked Nolan about Kevin's racing career.
