One night at Moe's Bar, Jim told Nolan to tell the story of how he got his big break...it is family, which Nolan said "Coaches, Spouses and No Children Night" at the St. Boniface Braves baseball game at St. Boniface Stadium. However, Paul and Ed did not go because of having babies. Also there was Grady, Fran, Bill, Mick and Roy. After Lionel sang the national anthem at the game, Mick sits with Nolan, taunting the Braves, which are expected to lose their 27th consecutive game, reportedly the longest losing streak in professional baseball. But when Nolan fires up the crowd, the Braves win their game.

Because of this, Nolan is made the St. Boniface Braves mascot "Dancin' Nolan." Thanks to his spirit, the Braves win more games until Nolan is promoted to the team in St. Boniface.

His first performance is a disaster, boring the crowd, causing them only to applaud once he is led off the field and promptly fired.

Nolan sadly finishes regaling his story, only to find that the barflies are still impressed.
