Kevin watches TV when a television commercial for a mentor program called Big Brothers Big Sisters of America comes up. This gives him an idea and he goes to the agency disguising himself with an accent as a brave young boy. Afterwards, Kevin is assigned a big brother called Tom whom Kevin first meets when he comes to school to pick Kevin up by letting him ride on the back of his motorcycle. Eventually, Nolan finds out about Kevin and angrily confronts him about the issue. Nolan plans to go to the agency to get revenge by being assigned a replacement son. There, he is assigned a child named Pepe. Nolan shows Pepe the garage door, "a wonder of modern technology" and then the two look at the stars together.
Elsewhere, Nolan takes Pepe to Marine World to attend Big Brothers Day. Tom also takes Kevin there. After Nolan runs into Kevin, Tom tells Kevin not to talk to strangers and begins to lead him away from Nolan. Nolan states that he is Kevin's father. As Kevin has told Tom many false or relatively over exaggerated stories of Nolan being a terrible parent, Tom halts and asks Nolan with barely-restrained anger "His father, the drunken gambler?" Nolan seeing nothing wrong with the connection, instinctively and cheerfully replies, "That's right, and who might you be?" Tom punches Nolan in the face, beginning a brawl between the two men.
Nolan was injured of a leg that make Tom fighting with him, and Paul, Grady, Ed, Fran, Bill, Mick, Roy, Fred, Karl and Milt saw them and call the police. Tom was arrested for having a wrong orphan, and Pepe believes that the 10 cousins will have a little brother.
