St. Boniface Vikings (Part 1)

Some Enchanted Evening

On a Friday morning, the Smith family are eating breakfast together. Lisa and Kevin have a tug-of-war over a donut, causing the box to rip open, and Nolan, who eats the donut, is reading the newspaper. After Kevin and Lisa leave for school, Nolan leaves for high school without noticing and saying goodbye to Marva Lynn. Marva Lynn and Marla Lynn are then left alone.

After school, Nolan goes to Moe's Bar instead of home that night, where he asks Moe for advice. Moe tells Nolan that he should take her to a fancy restaurant, spend one night at a hotel, and buy her some flowers. Back at home, as a furious Marva Lynn impatiently waits for him to come home and tell him off, Kevin, Lisa and Marla Lynn wisely keep their distance from her. Nolan ends up buying her a box of chocolates and a single rose, as the flowers are very expensive. Nolan arrives home and tells Marva Lynn that he loves her. Marva Lynn's complexion softens and tells Nolan that she loves him and apologizes for taking him for granted. Nolan forgives Marva Lynn and chooses to take her out to where Moe suggested.

Meanwhile, Kevin has made various prank calls to Moe's Bar. However, his folks are faced with a problem when they realize that their kids have no one to watch over them. To find a babysitter, Marva Lynn picks up the phone, and is surprised that Moe is still yapping at Kevin for the prank and hangs up, and she tells the kids to go to bed, assuming that it was a crossed wire. She picks it up again and calls Paul, Grady, Ed and Fran.

The cousins and their wives asked them that they are expecting four babies, and Nolan and Marva Lynn leaves. Only Kevin, Lisa and Marla Lynn stayed.

The next day, Nolan and Marva Lynn came by and the cousins are surprised to see them.
