At the auto shop, Waldemar met Gayle Schreiner and they end up bonding and later on, Marva Lynn points out to Nolan that both her brother and Gayle seem kind of lonely, so Marva Lynn suggests setting them up on a date. Gayle and Waldemar end up falling in love, but while Marva Lynn is happy for them, Nolan's against the relationship, pointing out that if Waldemar and Gayle end up getting married. Waldemar and Gayle's relationship goes well until when on a night on the town, Gayle goes dancing with Harold, Waldemar's son, whom she finds to be more dashing.
On the day of the wedding, Harold and Gayle attempt to marry. Only minutes before Gayle becomes Mrs. Lahr, Waldemar crashes the ceremony by arguing that Gayle shouldn't get married to Harold, because Harold is still Waldemar's son. In the end, Waldemar and Gayle hop on a bus and look anxious about their future.
A week later, Paul, Grady, Ed, Fran, Bill, Mick, Roy, Fred, Karl, Milt, Gary and Dave were reading a newspaper said that Gayle is engaged to another man, who is a welder.
