Comforting

Kara Pov

    I woke up a few hours later hungry. I went to go get food and as I shut my door quietly I heard some sniffles from the living room. I looked over and saw Jason. The noises were him, he was crying "Jason?" I asked "Oh hey Kara" He said and turned his head away from me, hiding his tears. I remember what Alex told me about him being fragile. I walked over to him and sat next to him hugging him. I felt him tense up and then relax. I let him cry for a bit, my arms around him and my head leaning on his shoulder. "Do wanna talk about it?" I asked in a soft tone "No not really, just thinking" He said I held him for a few more minutes and he finished crying 

"Olivia"
"What?"
"Olivia, is why I'm crying"
"Who was Olivia?"
"My girlfriend, ex-girlfriend"
"What happened?"
"I told you that the people I knew weren't who I thought they were, Olivia was who I was talking about. I woke up from my coma and went to surprise her, to find her kissing one of my police friends. So I went to our place and waited for her. She walked in with him, I did my best not to punch him and I confronted Olivia. She tried to turn it on me, saying I wasn't there for her, but what could I have done? I was in a coma. I packed a bag and moved here."
"I'm so sorry Jason"
"What hurt the most is I thought she was the one, I saw a future with her, so the fact that she could even do what she did, it's worse than taking a bullet. And I know what a bullet feels like, not good"

    I felt bad for Jason. He was really heart broken. I just sat there and held him, his head leaning on my shoulder and my head on his. Eventually we both fell asleep.

    I woke up next morning. I opened my eyes confused to see my TV instead of the ceiling I saw when I woke up in my bed. I felt a weight on my shoulder and looked over to see Jason sleeping with his head on mine. I wanted to surprise him with breakfast so I slowly got up, laying him down and placing his head under a pillow. I covered him with the blanket and got up to make breakfast, remembering the events of last night. I finished making a pot of coffee and a ton of pancakes when I heard Jason wake up "Hmm" He said startled, he probably wasn't used to waking up in my apartment yet. He slowly got up and went to the bathroom, looking at the floor. He came out a few minutes later. I noticed he combed his hair and judging by how long he was in the bathroom brushed his teeth. He still looked sleepy but he walked to the fridge looking for food. "Good morning" I said "Oh, good morning" He said, his voice deeper than usual, I'm guessing he had morning voice, I know from Jeremiah.

"I made breakfast"
"Thank you"
"You okay?"
"Still tired, not used to waking up here, not used to not waking up next to...Olivia"

    He looked up from his food and at me in pure embarrassment, he remembered last night. "I'm sorry about last night. I uh, there was a lot going through my head" He said apologizing "Its okay Jason, I get it, I've experienced breakups before, nothing ad bad as you, but I get heartbreak." I reassured him and sat next to him with my coffee.

"So how did you sleep?"
"Okay"
"Good"
"Is it gonna be awkward between us now?"
"Nope"
"Good"
"So what all do you have to do today?"
"I gotta get a debit card, buy some work clothes and go to Ikea to get a bed frame for the mattress I need to order."
"I can help you?"
"No, I want to do this on my own, get a bearing for the city, and figure out what life is gonna be like here."
"Okay, sounds good"

    Me and Jason talked through breakfast until he finished. "Thank you for breakfast, those are the best pancakes I've ever had." Jason said "Your welcome, and thank you" I said and Jason showered and went to his room to change.

Jason Pov

    I checked on my supersuit and got dressed. I thought of Kara, the closer I get to her the more I think that Olivia wasn't the one, but really Kara was. I was gonna like living with her. I walked out of my room and Kara was on the couch watching TV. "I'm off, don't watch Riverdale without me" I said "No promises" She said and I laughed.

    I went to the bank and got a debit card. They set me up with a temporary one till they got my permanent one ready, which they would mail to me, it felt weird giving them Kara's address when they asked if my address had changed. After I got my card I went to the mall to buy some work clothes. I just bought some button ups and a few more pairs of jeans. I stopped by Hottopic because they always have something I like there. I saw a Southside serpents Jacket there. I asked Alex what Kara's Jacket size was and I got her one of the Jackets as well. After the mall I went and got a bed frame. I got home and took everything up. When I tried the door it was locked. I pulled out my keys and I realized I didn't have a key to Kara's apartment. I knocked but there was no answer. "Of course she's not here" I sat leaning against the door and texted Kara, no answer. I just looked at YouTube videos of Supergirl. I was really interested in her. I saw a few closeups and noticed a few things, the first was she looked very similar to Kara, same color hair and similar eyes, and they sounded similar too. I didn't pay much thought to it, I got a notification saying that my favorite YouTubers 'The DangieBros' posted a new video. I watched it and then watched a few more of their videos.

    I was ensnared by my phone until I heard a voice. I looked up and saw Kara. I stood up and talked with her

"Jason? What are you doing just sitting there?"
"I don't have a key, I knocked but you weren't here."
"I'm so sorry, I forgot to give you a key. Let's get inside first."
"It's okay. I had my phone to entertain me"
"That's good, you get everything you need?"
"Yes, I think I got everything. I got my temporary debit card, some work clothes, and a bed frame."
"One of those bags says hot topic, they don't sell clothes appropriate for Catco."
"Funny you mention Hot topic I got you something there"
"You shouldn't have"
"I wanted to, you let me into your home and into your life, it's the least I could do besides help pay rent, cook food and clean around the place."
"Heh, so what did you get on the hot topic?"
"You remember that Jacket Jughead got at the end of last season?"
"Yeah"
"It is a gang Jacket, the Southside serpents. I got you a Southside serpents jacket"
"Jason, thank you so much? I only have two questions"
"shoot"
"one, how did you know my size and two, how much did this cost?"
"Alex, and not telling. I got one of the Jackets too"
"So we're matching now?"
"Yep"
"Thank you Jason"
"No problem, so I'm gonna get the bed frame built and then can I set up my Xbox on your tv?"
"Yep, go ahead."

Kara Pov

    Jason took all his stuff to his room and I took off the Cardigan I was wearing and put on the jacket Jason bought for me. It was very comfy. I felt bad for keeping him waiting at my door. I was doing supergirl stuff. An alien got loose at the DEO. I took Jason's key off my Keychain and went to his room and knocked "Come in" Jason said and I opened the door. His bags of clothes were on his dresser and he was crouched down on the ground screwing two pieces of wood together. He stood when I entered and walked over to me

"Here's you key"
"Thanks Kara"
"It's coming along nicely in here."
"Yeah, I just gotta put up my clothes and get my bed set up. I'm still gonna be on the couch until it comes, okay?"
"Yeah of course"
"Thank you, so are you doing anything today?"
"No, we can if you want"
"I'm just asking, your call"
"I'll think about it."
"Damn it"
"What?"
"I forgot to get something while I was out today."
"Like what"
"I need more coat hangers and bed sheets. All of mine stayed with Olivia"
"Alright, we can go get some together, and then grab dinner. l show my favorite place in the city."
"Alright sounds good. I'm gonna finish up then it's Xbox time. I've been wanting to play. Haven't gotten to since I've been in a coma."
"Alright, I'll leave you to it"
"You can leave the door open"
"Ok"
