So what's in the box?"
"It would ruin the surprise if I told you. Your gonna have to wait a few days"
"Ooh, that may be a problem"
"Yeah, well that gift is worth the wait"
"I hope so"
"I missed you today"
"Me too, Alex was good company, but not as good as yours."
"High praise"

I kissed Kara, I had missed her kiss, it's been awhile since we shared one. She pulled away "So tell me about Bruce Wayne's kid" She said. I told her about Dick and we talked late into the night. Kara got tired and we went to bed. I held Kara in my arms until we fell asleep. I was thinking for a while about something. I wanted to propose to Kara, but I needed to do a few things first. I planned to propose on Christmas, which was in a few days. But I knew it would mean alot to Kara if her family approved, So I was gonna ask Eliza and Alex for permission. I fell asleep imagining a future with Kara. Providing for her, starting a family. Being in love for the rest of my life. It was a pretty picture but my biggest worry at that moment is that it'll never happen.

I woke up a few hours later. Kara was in my arms, she looked really cute when she slept. I laid there until she woke up, which was 30 minutes later. "Good morning sweetheart" I said "Good morning Jason" Kara said sleepy. "You hungry?" I asked "Always" Kara said "Can I have you, you look like a snack" Kara said, I forgot that she can't control what she says when she's sleepy. "Kara, I was talking about actual food. Like bacon and eggs. Or waffles" I said. Kara thought about it. "Can we have Noonan's?" I asked Kara, laying against my chest, "Sure, do you want a muffin?" I asked "Blueberry" Kara said. I got up, gently laying Kara down. I got dressed and brushed my teeth and all that. I ran out the door and came back with drinks and food. I got a bacon egg and cheese sandwich thing and a hot chocolate. It was a hot chocolate kinda day. I set Kara's ccoffee and her blueberry muffin on the table and set mine down near the couch. I went to the bedroom and told Kara her food was here. She got up in her pajamas and grabbed the food. She came and sat next to me on the couch, cuddling close and laying her legs over mine. I had the tv on, it was westerns again. I started watching them more often. It made it fell like dad was still with me. Kara didn't object, she knows about using coping mechanisms like these, they make you feel less alone. We finished breakfast.

"Kara?" Can I ask you a question?"
"Of course"
"How can I get in touch with Clark?"
"My cousin, Superman?"
"Yes, exactly. I want to talk to him"
"I'll text you his phone number"

Kara pulled out her phone and I did too. I saved Clark as a contact and was about to call him "Kara, I'm gonna head out, I gotta run some errands today" I said "Okay, have fun" Kara said. I walked out and waited till I was out of Kara's ear shot. I called Clark

"Hello?"
"Hi, this is Jason, I'm Kara's friend, boyfriend actually. I was wondering If I could talk to you?"
"Oh, so you're the one I've been hearing about. Yeah i'll meet you, where exactly?"
"I'll text you, there is a few others I need to invite first"
"Okay, well, see you later I guess"
"Okay, bye Superman"

I hung up and ran to the DEO. I walked up to Alex. "Can we talk, and then talk some more with some other people?" I asked "Uh, sure," Alex said she turned to John who gave her a nod, allowing her to leave. She brought me to the conference room.

"So what's up"
"Kara, This is about her"
"You have my attention"
"Well actually before I tell you, we need two other people. Can we go to your mom's? It involves her too"
"Uh, yeah, let me just grab my jacket."

Alex left and came back a few minutes later. I ran her to Eliza's house. She greeted us and took us inside. I texted Clark to come and a few seconds later he did, as superman. "I'm guessing Kara told you?" Clark asked and he changed into his human clothes when he walked out of sight "No I figured it out, ex-detective" I said and asked them all to be seated. They all sat opposite me. Giving me skeptical looks. "So Kara, she is the point of all this. I wanted to ask you all something" I said looking between the three. "I would like to marry Kara, and I know it would mean a lot to her if you all approved, so I'm asking for your blessing" I said nervous. "You're a good kid Jason, you have my blessing" Eliza said. I nodded, but internally I was freaking out. "You've always been good to Kara, and I know how much you care about her. I wouldn't choose anyone else for Kara." Alex said. I smiled and looked at Clark. If I was worried about what anyone would say it would be him. He gave it a moment of thought. Me sitting in awkward silence "I've heard alot about you, and It's clear to me you would do a lot for Kara, including put your own life on the line, and for that, I give you my blessing" Clark said "Thank you all so much" I said. Clark said something after "Do you have a ring yet?" Clark asked "No, I have some ideas, but nothing concrete" I said "I have something for you, but its a travel" Clark said. "One second" I said and ran Alex back to the DEO. I came back to my seat. Clark was in his suit. "You ready?" Clark asked "Yes" I said and said goodbye to Eliza. I walked outside with Clark "You gotta change clothes? It's a bit cold where we're going" I smiled and held out my ring. My suit flew out and I ran into it. Clark smiled. "Am I gonna need to carry you?" Clark asked. I used my flight to levitate myself a foot off the ground. "We should be good," I said. I let my cape fall down and Superman nodded. He took off and I followed him.
