Jason: The Origin (Book 1)

Training

I patted Clark on the shoulder and then went off. I walked to Winn's desk with him, he was going on about how cool it was that I defeated Superman. "Thanks for the shield by the way, it came in handy" I said "Yeah, well, even the fastest man alive can't escape everything, so I gave you a shield." Winn said. Kara flew in as Supergirl. She came to me and I kissed her

"Hey Jason"
"Hi"
"So what did you want to show me"
"Follow me"

I led Kara to the infirmary where Clark was. They hugged and Clark looked at the ring "It looks good on you" Clark said "Thank you for giving it to Jason" Kara said. They talked

"So what happened"
"Your fiance had to beat me up"
"Jason!"
"Hey, I had no choice"
"He's right, I was affected by red kryptonite, couldn't think straight. I attacked Jason when he came to help and he Knocked me out"
"No way"
"You can see the bruise on his Jaw, and I'm sure a few news channels filmed it"
"Hmm"
"Its true"
"Okay Clark. I believe you and Jason"

We talked a bit. Kara had to go back to work and Clark stayed. I told him to stay cause while he was here I was gonna make him a kryptonite shield. Qe were in a tech lab and I had all my stuff out. I was soldering wires and talking to Clark

"I'm sorry about your dad Jason"
"Thank you"
"Don't blame yourself."
"It was my fault"
"Stop, you can't think like that. I can't pretend to know what it's like to lose a parent that close to you. Mine died on krypton when I was just a baby, all I can say is you need to give yourself time to mourn"
"I will, thanks for the advice"
"Your welcome. So I have to ask, you wanna teach me some of your moves? You were using some fancy combos out there."
"I can after this, and we can test the kryptonite shield too. Do you have civilian clothes with you?"
"I can borrow some, i'll go change"

I finished up and Clark gave me his suit. I put the shield in the suit and gave it to Clark. He put the suit back on. "Surprisingly comfortable." He said and we went to a training room. I turned up the kryptonite emitters to 100% "Wow, I can't feel anything, are you wearing one?" He said "Dont need too, my human part makes me invincible to kryptonite"
"Interesting, so, stand still, I'm gonna punch you."
"Hold on a minute *hmmm* "
"Sorry, just showing you that the kryptonite shield is a lot more durable than the last one"
"Great *cough* that's great"
"You good"
"Yep, just show me what you did to me... use a dummy"
"Fine"

I got a training dummy. It had a bar that stuck out to make it more realistic. "Alright so, say your enemy throws a right hook. Duck under his arm and hit him in the stomach with your left hand. As your standing up punch him in the stomach again while he's stunned. Both of those should leave him clutching his stomach, meaning his face Is an open target. Land a strong hit and he's down." I said only demonstrating what to do. Clark tried it slowly and then he did it fast, knocking off the top of the dummy. I taught him other things and then we were spared.

I called Winn to come in since I knew he'd want to see this. Clark charged and I blocked. Taking note of everything he did. He ran at me again and I did a knee slide under a hook punch he threw. He tried to kick me but while he was on one fit I spun on my knees and sweeped his leg from him. "Sloppy, you chose to kick when you should have utilized your powers inna real fight. That left you off balance. Your battle cries alerted me that you were attacking. and your wind up leaves you open for counters. Stand still I won't actually hit you, but try to block these punches." I got into a fighting stance "Punch 1" I said and pulled my fist back to punch "Punch 2" I said and punched straight and fast, no wind up He blocked the first and had trouble with the second

"Which was harder to see?"
"Two"
"That's because the wind up is a warning and going straight is harder to block, faster and if you keep your arm straight the enemy may not have noticed you moved until it's too late."
"Alright"

I sparred with Clark for a while, teaching him things and him teaching me some things about the kryptonian powers. I had turned off the kryptonite emitters a while ago. Kara came back after Catco and saw me and Clark fighting. "Stop it" She said intervening "It's okay Kara, we're just sparring, I may have forgotten to pull a few punches but Clark said don't go easy" I said, putting my hands on her arms. "Sorry, I am just legitimately worried you two would hurt each other. You're more than capable. Winn had come back from making another bowl of popcorn. "Hi Kara," He said. He sat in his old spot, he had been watching me and Clark train all day. Kara went out patrolling and I talked to Alex

"Hey Alex"
"Hey Jason, how was your first day"
"Awesome. I beat Superman in a fight, he said im stronger than him and I also got to train him"
"That's really cool, so, I actually have something to tell you"
"What"
"It's Kara's earth birthday in a few weeks."
"Earth Birthday?"
"The anniversary of the day she landed on earth"
"Oh, so when is it"
"The saturday after next saturday"
"Alright, does she have any traditions for earth birthday?"
"She likes to go to the movies and then she always plans something random. And then she goes and gets a box of cupcakes."
"I got an Idea"
"What?"
"So we go see the new 'Aladdin' Movie, the live action one, then laser tag and arcade stuff. Then I'll go get us the cupcakes"
"Shell love that"
