Bromance

After the second movie finished I put on a TV show Kara liked in the background. I ran off and got potstickers. I came back and dropped them on the coffee table in front of Kara. "Yes, just yes" Kara said and I chuckled. She started taking out the potstickers and I went to grab my lightsaber chopsticks. Yes I bought some, between Kara's potsticker obsession and my major nerd syndrome why not. 

"I still think those are ridiculous"
"Lightsaber chopsticks are not ridiculous"
"They're funny"
"Well between your love for potstickers and my love for Star Wars I bought some. At least they get used"
"I guess"
"Thank you Jason, you've made today special"
"And I know what could make it even more special"
"What is that?
"What if I invited some friends over for game night. We haven't had one in forever and I'm sure seeing everyone would be good for all of this. I'm sure Alex wants to slap me but atleast I'm bulletproof now, so if things get that violent I'd be fine."
"Heheh, that'd be great Jason, You should invite some people over."
"How does Maggie, Alex, James and Winn sound"
"You really like Winn"
"Yes, We can geek out over stuff, and I told him I'd tell him about my suit."
"Ah, but yeah that sounds good."
"Ten four"
"I know that's your Call of Duty talk so how about we do video games tonight?"
"I uh, yeah, Alex and Maggie would probably enjoy some 1v1s, Maybe Winn too but what about you and James?"
"James Will be okay and I wanna learn how to play Call of Duty."
"Okay, cool. I texted everyone, they should be here in about an hour"
"Great"
"I gotta make a call so I'm gonna go to my room for it"
"Okay"
"And Kara?"
"Yeah"
"Don't listen in, part of it may be about something for you okay?"
"Okay"

    I could tell Kara was serious so I went to my room. It's been awhile since I actually slept in here, most nights I fell asleep on the couch with Kara or in her bed. I pulled out my phone and dialed Bruce's number

"Hey Jason"
"Bruce, hi, I know I already owe you 2 favors but I need some help with something"
"Don't worry Jason, you don't owe me anything. But what do you need help with?"
"I want to make Kara a new suit for Christmas"
"Kara? Is that the girlfriend I've been hearing about?"
"Yes, I'll tell you about her next time I see you. I thought I'd visit Gotham, visit you and we can make the suit"
"Okay, I'm looking forward to it"
"Alright, I gotta go, I'll come by in the next week."
"See you then, Flash"
"Later, Batman"

    I hung up and walked back out. "Did you listen to that, Be honest" I asked Kara and she shook her head. "Good, on a side note I have to run into Gotham in a few days. I need to see Bruce, alone" I said "That gonna be okay?" "Yeah," Kara said. I had been asking what she wanted a lot lately. Ever since Zoom broke my back she's been a bit fragile, don't want to force her to be without me. I hung out with Kara until there was a knock at the door. It was Winn "Aren't you a little short for a stormtrooper?" I said leaning against the doorframe.Winn smiled "I get that too often" Winn said and I let him in, he said hi to Kara. "So Winn, I told you to come early so you could see my suit, you ready?" I asked "Yes," Winn said excitedly. I held my ring out and my suit ejected. I used my speed to run into it and Winn was already asking questions.

"That's so cool, how did you get it into the ring?"
"Nanotech"
"Awesome, it looks high tech, what's in it?"
"It's got a cape for flying but I originally put it there so I could stop my fall if I got knocked off a wall or something. Oxygen tank cause I run on water, heads up display, GPS, its friction proof, or resistant, what i'm trying to say is it doesn't catch on fire when I run too fast"
"Awesome, did you make it yourself?"
"I came up with the concept, cosmetics and the stuff that should go into it but I got help from Batman to make it"
"THE Batman?"
"The one and only"
"Awesome"
"Yeah, so, if you got any ideas we could implement them maybe"
"I got nothing right now, but I'll think on it"
"Alrighty"

    Kara interjected "You two have some serious bromance going on" I said something back at Kara "Kara Danvers, jealous?" I said, Winn laughed and Kara was about to say something when there was another knock on the door. I opened it and James was there, behind him Maggie and Alex I shook James' hand and Maggie came in and hugged me "I'm so glad you're okay Jackson, you gave us a real scare at the prec-" Maggie stopped when she saw me motioning to cut it out. Alex came in next and hugged me "I'm so glad you're okay" She said and then pulled away "What were you thinking?" Alex asked and punched me on the chest. She hugged me again. "What just happened?" I asked and Maggie just shrugged. "I'll be right back" I said and sped off, returning with a few Pizzas. "Voila" I said and set them down. I got drinks for everyone who wanted one and we ate talking amongst ourselves. Mainly people expressing their concern for me, they all saw the news m footage of me limp in Zoom's hand. I kept looking over at Kara, making sure she was okay, talking about it was still a sore subject for her. She looked uncomfortable, but not agitated.
