Jason: The Origin (Book 1)

Trouble in Central City

I went to Kara's bed with her and cuddled her, my arms around her. Kara fell asleep in a few minutes with my arms around her. I was up thinking about whether or not Eliza thought I was good enough for Kara. I eventually fell asleep. A few hours later I bolted upright, I was covered in sweat and had fear in my face. I looked to my left and saw Kara. She was lying there, asleep, safe and sound. I had a nightmare, she was dead, and everyone, including me thought it was my fault, because I wasn't fast enough to save her. I let out a sigh of relief and layed back down, putting my arms around her and holding her in fear of losing her.

I woke up a few hours later to Kara and Eliza talking in the Kitchen. I slowly woke up and went to the bathroom to brush my teeth. I then went out into the kitchen, I kissed Kara good morning and said hi to Eliza, grabbing a cup of coffee, for some reason I thought Eliza was going to scold me for waking up later than her but she didn't. It was important to me that Kara's mom liked me.

"Good morning Danvers women"
"Good morning babe"
"Morning Jason"
"You sleep okay?"
"Yeah, I slept great"

I lied to Kara, I didn't want to talk about it infront of her mom. Eliza turned away to refill her coffee and I whispered to Kara "Can we talk at lunch, I'll take you to Noonan's" Kara agreed and I went to go get dressed. I put on jeans, a t-shirt and I grabbed my Southside Serpents Jacket. We visited a bit more and I told Eliza that I was gonna take Kara out for lunch.

Kara and I arrived at Noonan's and we sat down and ordered drinks, Kara sat next to me. I was a bit nervous to talk to her about my nightmares.

"What's wrong Jason? You look sad."
"I just didn't sleep much"
"Why, did I keep you up"
"Yes and no, not you physically, but you in my dreams. Or nightmares rather. I, uh, when you were hurt. Before we got together I was lost. I didn't know what I was gonna do if you were gone. I probably would've killed Bruce if he didn't fix you. I just don't wanna lose you, and in our line of work I could lose you. That's what the dream was about. You died, and everyone blamed me, even myself. Because the reason you died is because I couldn't save you. The thing that's gonna haunt me is your scream, the final sound you made before the kryptonite killed you, a scream of pure pain, and suffering, and, sigh, I don't wanna lose you."
"You won't Jason. I promise"
"Are you sure?"
"Yes, I'll always be next to you. In your arms"
"I love you"
"I love you too"

I kissed Kara and we eventually finished lunch and went home. Eliza was watching 'Love it or List it' I went to my room to work on my song for a bit.

It was a month later, around Christmas. I was messing with some tech in my room when I got a call from Cisco from Star Labs.

"Jason where are you?"
"National City, why"
"You need to get here. There's trouble. Bring your suit Flash"

I put on my suit and went out to my living room. "Kara I gotta go, trouble in Central City" I said walking over to Kara "What's wrong do you need my help?" Kara asked with worry on my face. "No, stay here for National City. I'll give your number to Cisco, hell call you if anything happens to me okay. I love you" I said and kissed Kara after a few seconds I pulled away "I love you" Kara said and I smiled, put on my mask and sped off. I stopped in the cortex of Star Labs, where I woke up. I talked to Cisco

"What's wrong, what's the emergency?"
"Evil speedster from parallel earth"
"Parallel earth, like the multiverse?"
"Yes, his name is Zoom, wears black, blue lightning."
"Okay, where is he?"

A dark figure came into the room, blue lightning crackling around his body "I'm right here"
