The Fight

Kara Pov

    I cuddled with Jason for a while. I really loved him, more than anyone I have before. I knew he was the one. "Alright, I know I want to stay in bed forever but I'm hungry" Jason said, turning towards me. "About time" I said, it could be fun to tease Jason. "I want you to try something," Jason said and ran off when he got up. He returned with food. "Chick-fil-a" He said. "Oh, I've heard of them, I wanted to try their food but there aren't any in the city." I said and we sat down. He handed me food. He told me what everything was and we ate. "This place is so yummy" I said "Welcome to your new addiction" Jason said, taking a sip from his tea. 

"The chicken minis rival potstickers."
"Kara Danvers is open to the idea of there being better food than potstickers? I need to tell everyone."
"You don't have to"
"Already done… Everyone is shocked, like Livewire shocked."
"That was punny"
"You are such a dork sometimes, I love it"

Jason kissed me. He was too good to me. We spent the weekend together. It was now about the hallway through the week. I was at work when I got a call from Alex. I headed to the DEO.

Jason Pov

    I arrived for work, I stopped an alien weapons buy, a bank robbery and I helped get a man to a hospital. Alex told me Mon-el summoned me. "Give me a sec" I said, trying to keep my head level why I went in there. I stood across from him, a pane of glass keeping us separate.

"I don't usually get summoned by prisoners."
"Thats nice"
"What do you want, trying to get into my head? You just want me to open the cell. Even if I did you wouldn't be able to beat me"
"I would destroy you"
"You realize I was pounding people's faces in when you were still getting drunk and hooking up on Daxam"
"I doubt that"
"Okay, bye"
"Yep, go cry to your girlfriend"
"You realize I'd beat you in a fight."
"I don't think so"
"I know it, that's good enough for me"
"You chicken"

    I felt like Marty McFly. I ran at the cell and punched the glass, breaking it. I punched Mon-el. I was advancing on him, the fight moved to the overhead level. I punched and then kicked him over the railing. I jumped down and landed over Mon-el. I crouched and punched him, over and over again. I couldn't stop, I wanted to, but I couldn't. I was only stopped by Kara, pulling me off. "Alright!" I said I walked away to a private room and Kara followed.

"Jason what happened."
"He questioned my honor, and he's a dick"
"He's just trying to get in your head."
"It worked"
"Jason, you need to get a grip in your emotions"
"What if I can't, I wanted to stop in that fight, but I couldn't. It's like I was mind controlling myself."
"Was this about me"
"Partially"
"Why"
"Sorry if I'm over protective, But look, Mon-el comes back, that's cool, but when he tries to take you back. I know I don't own you, but. *Sigh*"
"What's really going on"
"I'm not actually sure, it's like I'm filled with so much rage, I've never been like this, never. I can't control myself."
"What can I do about it"
"There's nothing you can, it's just like, I want to hit something, make things break, but then it doesn't even help."
"Violence isn't always the answer."
"I know, I should be better, I'm sorry"
"It's okay, and what did I tell you about apologizing?"
"Sorry, fuck, right"
"Jason, you've been through a lot, do you think therapy might be appropriate?"
"I don't want to do that, I'm not keen on telling people my secrets."
"You tell me them"
"That's different, you're my fiance, and you actually want to listen. A therapist is someone you pay to talk about what's wrong."
"They don't have to be. Why don't you ask Lena about it? She's got family drama too"
"Great, The Luthor's and Morgan's, kings and queens of family issues. At least no one but me has ever been one to killing someone"
"I'm still kinda mad about that, But Mon-el did need a good face rearranging."
"I'm glad you agree, it did feel kinda good to punch him. I should probably go clean up the glass in his cell."
"Alright, I'm gonna go talk to Mon-el."
"Be careful"
