Argo

I looked at Kara and we landed in a remote area. We went through a market. "We should change, our suits stand out too much" I said with my mask down. We got some robes to cover ourselves and we walked through town. I saw a boy hooked up to a futuristic oxygen tank, it wasn't working properly. "Here, let me help" I said and I used my HUD to run diagnostics on it, I found the problem and I used the spare parts I kept on my belt for my suit to fix the oxygen tank. The kid deeply inhaled. His other turned to me as I stood up.

"Thank you, how can I ever repay you"
"Don't mention it"
"How did you do that"
"I know my way around technology"
"I'm glad, the explosion of krypton has polluted Argo. Kids and Seniors are getting sick, there immune systems aren't strong enough"
"Is there anything you can do"
"No, they haven't found a cure yet"
"I'm sorry. Do you happen to know of Alura Zor-El?"
"Yes, she is part of Argo's government"
"Do you know where we can find her?"
"Yes"

The woman told us where to go and I went over to Kara.

"Who was that"
"Someone who needed help"
"What did you two talk about"
"Krypton's explosion polluted Argo. The kids and the old people are getting sucl because their immune system isn't strong enough, there is nothing they can do."
"Of course"
"Kara there is something else."
"What"
"Your mother survived, I know where we can find her"
"Where"

I led Kara to where the woman told us to go, It was a council room, we walked in and saw everybody, Kara saw her mom "Mom" Kara said, everyone turned and Alura stood "Kara?" She asked "Yes mom, it's me, Kara Zor-El" Kara said and hugged her mom. Alura took us to her home, Kara's home on krypton. We sat down and Kara and her mom talked.

"Did dad survive, what about Kal-el's parents"
"No, I'm sorry they didn't. You look so young Kara, you should be older."
"Krypton's explosion knocked my pod into the phantom zone, I was stuck there for two decades, I escaped, bringing fort rozz with me"
"Oh, did everyone escape"
"Most did, We defeated the bad ones, Mom, Non and Astra survived. But Astra was killed"
"No, Astra, my poor sister"
"Mom, I have been helping earth, using my powers to protect the people. They have a name for me 'Supergirl' I'm a hero"
"My sweet girl, I'm so proud of you"

They hugged and Alura saw me. "Who is your friend?" Alura asked Kara "He's Jason, my fiancé." Kara said showing her mom a replica of her ring. "Have the real one" Alura said and took off the original and handed it to Kara. "No, mom I couldn't" Kara said, "Please, after 30 years, please take it" Alura said and Kara did. Alura turned to me.

"Do you fight for justice with Kara?"
"Yes, I'm a hero too"
"I haven't seen you on krypton, how did you get powers"
"I was exposed to dark matter, which allowed me to run faster than light, and Kara had to give me blood to save my life, now I'm part kryptonian. But I am still human"
"How did you two meet"
"I moved to the city and met Kara, I moved in as her roommate and things went from there."
"I wish you two had found us sooner"
"Me too, Kara has told me how much she loves you"
"Well, it's been a long time, so Kara told me about your life on earth."

Alura and Kara talked, I could see Kara was happy here, and I loved that, but I was also worried Kara wouldn't want to leave. Eventually the question came around. "So how did you find Argo?" Alura asked. I looked at Kara. "There is a worldkiller on earth, Reign. Argo city possesses a substance that can help, It's the black rock of Utica." I said, ''Alura looked worried.Is there any way we can take some back to earth? We don't need much, just enough that we can synthesize more if we need it," Kara asked her mother. "We'll have to talk to the council" Alura said. "But first you two should change, those bright colored suits stand out a bit" Alura said with a laugh and showed us to a room. It had a pretty view of the city, the furniture was weird, not earthly, he was kryptonian.

Kara looked around "You know this place?" I asked sitting down, Kara came and sat next to me.

"This was my room"
"Ah, an even younger room of Kara's that I've been in now"
"Yes, but it wasn't all happy memories in here"
"There never is"
"There was the time my mother used me to draw Astra out and imprison her"
"And I thought my family was fucked up"
"So, what exactly do we wear, I imagine the only clothes here are for a 13 year old kryptonian female"
"I'll ask my mom"
"Kara, we need to talk later tonight okay"
"Okay"

Kara went off, I don't think I was ready to tell her we couldn't stay forever. Kara came back a few minutes later and we changed, I put my suit back into my ring and Kara kept her glasses on stand by. I was given Kara's dad's old clothes to wear. We then went to the council room and stood before. After making our case they said they needed the night to think about it. We returned to Alura's home and she made dinner. I didn't recognize anything but Kara did, It was surprisingly good. We went back to Kara's room. O told Kara to sit down and then sat across from her. She had a worried look on her face.

"What did you want to talk about"
"Kara, I know earth must have been lonely without your parents, but you know we can't stay here right"
"Jason"
"No, I know, I would give anything to have my mom and dad back, but they are gone, and now you know that your mom is still alive, and in your old city. It must make you happy, but we have a life, we have to protect National City, you have Alex, and John, and Eliza, and all your friends back home, back on Earth."
"You can't ask me to leave, I just got her back after 37 years"
"I know, I know, but this woman is not the same person that you left, we can still visit, but we have to get home, Reign is still on the loose endangering the life of everyone on earth"
"She beat me, what can we do"
"We take them one at a time, separate them so we can focus on one, I have an idea of how to beat Zoom, and then it's just Reign."
"Jason, my family is here, my mom is alive, she's the only family I have left"
"What about Alex? Eliza? John? Winn? James? Kara what about me?"
"I thought you'd want to be here with me"
"I want to be with you Kara, I want to see you happy, but I have friends back on Earth, I have a whole planet at Reign and Zoom's mercy. All I want is for you to be happy, if that means you staying here, and me going back, I'm okay with that, as long as you're happy. Now I'll be miserable, but I don't care, If this is what you really want, to stay here, live your life, then that's okay with me. But Kara, Ot has been 37 years, we can't make up for that lost time, as much as I want you to be able to, you can't"
"I, uh"
"Just think on it okay, I'll sleep on the floor, you can take the bed"
"You don't have to"
"No, its okay, Just think on it Kara, you may have left a life behind here but you still have one in National City"

Kara got up and went to her bed. I layed on the floor and fell asleep, wondering if I went too far, If Kara hates me now.
