The Flash vs. Superman

Jason Pov

     We were on the couch when Kara's and my phone buzzed. We looked at eachother and sped towards the DEO. It was a mess. A new Kryptonian attacked. She called herself 'Reign' Alex came to me "Listen Jason, there's something you need to know, Reign took Zoom" Alex said. I ran to his holding cell. The glass was broken and Zoom was gone. I leaned against the wall and started having a panic attack. Zoom was out and on the loose. I remembered what Kara said the last time I was like this and I breathed easier. I walked out angry, I went to Winn, he started working at the DEO and at Catco. "Find him" I said and Winn typed away. I went home with Kara and went to bed, or tried to. I couldn't fall asleep, too worried about Zoom escaping, but eventually I drifted to sleep. Alex called me midway through the day. 

"I have a proposition for you"
"Shoot"
"Come work at the DEO"
"What?"
"Work at the DEO, be the Flash all the time, it pays more than Catco and its more fun"
"Let me think on it"
"Ok, but don't forget, Winn, John and I are here too"
"I won't"
"Bye"
"Bye"

    I thought about it, I would've to work at the DEO full time but I wanted to ask Kara. I brought it up at dinner

"So the DEO offered me a job"
"Wait really"
"Yup, time superhero, pays more than Catco"
"That awesome, are you gonna take it"
"I wanted to know what you think"
"I think you should do it if you want to"
"I want to, Catco is boring sometimes, and being the Flash all the time would be great"
"So do it"
"Are you sure it's okay"
"Yes, go for it"
"Alright, thanks"

    I walked to Kara's room and called Kat. 

"Hey, Ms. Grant it's Jason"
"Jason who"
"Jason Morgan. I sit across from Kara"
"Oh, Jason, how can I help you"
"I'm actually calling to quit"
"What, has Catco not been good for you?"
"I actually got another job offer. I think I'll like It alot more than Catco, but Catco is still great don't get me wrong"
"Okay, i'll be sad to see you go but If it's what you want"
"alright thanks"

    I hung up, I'm surprised that it did so well. I walked back to where Kara was "Its done, let me just call Alex" I said. Kara cheered. I dialed Alex's number "Say hi to the DEO's newest agent" I said "Hi, Flash" Alex said "See you tomorrow at work" I said and hung up. I went to bed later and the next morning. I got dressed in my normal everyday clothes and put my Flash ring on. I went to Noonan's with Kara while she got Kat's coffee. I grabbed a hot chocolate. I've been liking them alot lately. I kissed Kara "Bye" I said "Bye Jason, have fun, don't die" She said jokingly "I'll try" I said and ran to the DEO. I flew up the building and landed.

    I walked over to Alex and Winn. Alex was talking with Winn while an algorithm ran. I was still in civilian clothes since I didn't want to put the Flash suit on when I didn't need to. "Morning" I said handing Winn and Alex the coffees I got for them at Noonan's. They thanked me

"So what's the computer doing"
"Running an algorithm to try and find Zoom"
"Alright, what about Reign"
"They must be working together"
"Why else would she break him out, thanks Winn"
"You okay Jason"
"I'm fine Alex"
"You don't look it"
"Just want to catch Zoom"
"No, you wanna kill him"
"Yes, I wanna kill him, not just because of my dad but because of all the people he has and will hurt"
"Don't do it, It haunts you"
"You've killed before"
"So take my word for it when I say you shouldn't do it, and besides what would Kara say"

    I relaxed my tense muscles, I apologized "Sorry, it's just been hard keeping my cool lately" I said and Alex nodded. Winns computer started beeping "Oh, Superman is attacking Krypton Park in metropolis" Winn said surprised. I held my flash ring out and sped into my suit "I'm on it" I said and flew to Superman "Superman, Its the Flash, calm down" I said holding my hands out. Superman turned on me, he didn't look like he was there. "He's not himself" I said to my com link with Alex and Winn on the other side. I told them to stay back. I saw Clark's eyes glow and he shot his heat vision at me. I deployed my shield and blocked the heat vision.

    I knew I was gonna have to punch my way out of this one. I retracted my shield and ran at him with my speed. I punched him with my speed, using it to also always stay out of his reach. He turned and I stepped back. He faced me "I'm sorry Clark'' I said. He threw a hook at me and I ducked punching him in the stomach, then doing it again with my other hand. I then took my first hand and put all my strength behind it, hitting Superman's jaw. He twisted around and fell down unconscious. I put him on my shoulders and ran back to the DEO.

    I set Clark on a medical bed and took my mask off. Winn came up and high five me "Dude, you beat Superman!" He said "Yes, the man of steel finally bent" I said. Alex came in "He was being induced with rage. That's why he destroyed Krypton Park, cause he was mad. It was caused by-" Alex said "Red Kryptonite'' I said, finishing her sentence. "Yes, but we know how to reverse it since Kara was affected by it a few years ago, '' Alex said and picked up a syringe from a table, injecting it into Clarks neck. He woke up a few minutes later. He sat up and put a hand on his jaw. He looked up at me

"Sorry"
"No, it's okay Jason, I'm glad you stopped me before I did permanent damage."
"Well then your welcome"
"You're stronger than I thought. Way stronger"
"I wasn't using my speed to propel the last few punches. By the way"
"I couldn't tell, it takes a certain type of man to knock me out in 3 punches, well one, the rest were body shots"
"I never thought I'd here you compliment me this much"
"You deserve it, your stronger than I am"
"Thanks Clark"
"I know your gonna ask, yes you can tell Kara"
"She gonna laugh at you"
"I know, so did she say yes?"
"Yup, I called her over, she said she had to finish some things at Catco then she could stop by"
"Alright, guess I'll stay a bit"
