Secrets

I woke up the next morning with the sun shining on my face. I felt a weight on my chest. I looked and saw Kara laying her head on my chest, she was still asleep. I put my arm on her, moving my thumb on her shoulder. I'm guessing this meant we had made up, I didn't like fighting with Kara. "Good morning" Kara said when she saw me "Good morning" I said back

"So are we okay?"
"Yeah, thank you for talking to me, I just needed to see reason"
"I'll always be there for you, whether you need a kiss or some sense."
"I'll take that kiss"
"Yes ma'am"

I kissed Kara, lucky I had such an amazing girl that I was gonna. all my wife one day. She pulled away and leaned back into me, we talked for a bit when Alura came in. She saw us on the ground "Did you two fall" She asked. I shook my head. "Alright, the council made a decision, let's go" Alura said and she left. Kara got up and changed from her nightwear. I got up and put my shirt back on. We walked downstairs to the living room. Alura led us to the council room.

I nervously smiled at Kara when we entered. Everyone was at their seat and Alura took hers. "Let us put it to a vote" The head council woman said. "All who wish to grant Kara Zor-El the black rock of Utica raise your hand" She said and 6 of the 13 raised their hand. "All against?" She said and the other 6 raised their hand, leaving the head to give her vote. "Where do you stand?" I asked politely. "I favor providing Kara Zor-El with what she requests" She said and Kara hugged me.

We were walking back to the ship, I had the rock in hand. Kara said goodbye to her mother and then Alura hugged me as well "Treat her with care" She said "Always" I replied and we got aboard John's ship. We arrived back on Earth. I cloaked the ship and landed outside the city, I transformed us into a car and then we drove back to the DEO.

I gave the rock to Alex and she started working on figuring out how to use it against Reign "You don't know?" Alex asked when she found out I didn't know how to use it "I never thought I'd get this far" I said "But I can research it, I just need a few hours." I said and Alex nodded. I went off to the computer and started to research how to use the rock against a worldkiller. I found out how to use it. "I have a theory, Reign is bipolar'' I said "What?" Alex asked, confused. "Bear with me, Reign is two different people, one person when she does not reign and a different one when she is, that's why she goes missing for days at a time. Now, if we use the rock right, we can use it to separate the two, then we don't have to worry about hurting someone innocent" I explained "Ok, get to work" Zale ordered. "I can't do it alone, I need a bio-mechanical genius. I need Lena Luthor's help" I said and Alex nodded, I grabbed the rock and sped to Lena's office.

I came in and took off my mask. "I need your help," I said. Lena looked up. "Anything" She said and I explained what we needed to do, she took me to her lab and we got started. "What's in there?" I asked to see a room with no door. "Nothing not important" Lena said nervously. I knew she was hiding something. I walked to a console and found out how to see inside the room. "Jason don't" Lena begged but I went through with it.

Inside was Reign, I looked at Lena

"How could you not tell me"
"I am trying to help her"
"Why, she has killed people"
"Your right, she's a split person, who she is when she is not Reign is my friend, and I'm trying to help her"
"Who is she"
"I can't give you that information"
"Lena"
"I'm sorry"
"Where's Zoom"
"Nowhere to be found."

When I looked back at Reign, I noticed a green disk on her shoulder.

"You put Kryptonite on her?"
"Only as a precaution, it's.not enough to hurt her, just weaken her enough so she can't escape"
"I'm gonna tell Kara"
"You can't"
"You can't ask me to keep this from her"
"I am, and please Jason, don't tell her, she'll only try to stop me"
"Maybe she's right to. I can't support this, we make the serum and then we give it to Reign, then you give her to the DEO"
"No, she stays with me"
"Lena, I don't want to fight you, but if it comes between that or putting Reign in a cell so she can't hurt anyone I will."
"Jason don't"
"I have to, let's get to work"

We finished the rock and I out it into a syringe "Open it" I said and Lena did. I managed to hit Reign with it and she collapsed. I exited and Lena put the gate up. A woman stood up, she was in the Reign suit. but she was disoriented. "Sam?" Lena asked. "Lena? Is that you. Is Ruby Okay?" the woman asked, I'm guessing she was Sam. "It's me, Ruby is okay" Lena said. "Can I see her." Sam asked. "Not yet, I need to make sure Reign has left you for good." Lena said and Sam nodded. I ran back to the DEO. "Kara Can I talk to you a second?" I asked and took Kara to a training room.

"Did you do it"
"Yes"
"How'd you find Reign"
"Lena, had her captured. She has her in a cell like thing, I was right, Reign is a split person. Lena knows the other woman and is trying to help. She didn't want me to tell you, but I don't want to keep secrets from you"
"Thank you for telling me"
"You don't have to go talk to her, I already did"
"I want to"
"Okay, don't die, and she's gonna try to use the luthor name against you, so be careful"
"Always"
