Jason: The Origin (Book 1)

Christmas

   I walked back out. and went to Alex "Don't tell anyone yet, not Kara, I want to" I said and Alex nodded. I ran out and went home. I got card stock and made invitations to it "What're you doing" Kara asked as I wrote the invitations. She saw my eyes were still red from trying not to cry.

"Invitations to my dad's funeral"
"When is it"
"Sunday"
"Alright, do you need anything"
"I'm fine"
"I can help"
"Kara please stop. I know your parents are dead but you've never had to bury them, you've never had to deal with the guilt of not saving them when you have the power to"

    Kara walked and sat next to me. She hugged me. I cried into her shoulder. 

"He didn't deserve this"
"I know"
"I'm sorry for snapping at you, I'm not thinking straight right now"
"It's okay, and you're right. What you're going through is different from me. And I'm sorry"
"What did I do to deserve you"
"You were you"

    I finished crying and tightened my arms around Kara. "I'm gonna go deliver these," I said and I ran off. I gave one to Kara, Alex, Maggie, John, James, Winn, Caitlin, Cisco, and Bruce. They all knew my dad. I had one more friend from high school that Knew my dad. She'd want to be there. I ran to the building she owned. The secretary stopped me "Tell her Jason Morgan is here" I said and she did so, she let me through.

Lena Pov

    I heard on the phone from my assistant that my old friend Jason Morgan was here. I let him in and he came inside. We sat on the couch

"Jason, It's been so long. I heard you were in town, why didn't you come see me sooner"
"I've been busy."
"Hmm, so How have you been, I heard you got out of your coma"
"I'm okay, I woke up and Olivia cheated on me"
"What, she can't have"
"She did, so I moved here and met a girl"
"You've changed, You used to be kinda awkward in high school, know you're picking up girls left and right"
"You know I'm not like that"
"I know, so tell me more about this girl"
"She's amazing, really really amazing. I love her alot, she's the best thing that ever happened to me. I now realize that I never loved Olivia a quarter of how much I love Kara"
"Kara, as in Kara Danvers?"
"Exactly"
"You did not end up dating Kara Danvers. She's my best friend. Besides you of course"
"Not so big, big city huh."
"I guess. Kara really is great. Yeah, she's been there for me, especially these last couple days"

    I saw a tear form in Jason's eye "What's wrong?" I asked "Its uh, my dad" Jason said. I got worried, I liked Jason's dad, and I knew how much he meant to Jason. "He's dead," Jason said. My heart broke, I couldn't believe it "I'm so sorry Jason" I said and hugged him. "Thank you," Jason said and pulled away "Your invited to his funeral" Jason said and gave me a card with all the info. He left. I wondered if he knew Kara was Supergirl.

Jason Pov

    I landed in the window of mine and Kara's apartment. I was flying above the clouds, clearing my head. I changed and went to my room to check on Kara's ring. It was still there. I changed and went back out to Kara. I hugged her. "I love you" I said "I love you". I spent the next few days with Kara. We spent time together, kissed, laughed, and had fun. I was trying to keep my mind off my dad.

    Christmas day rolled around and I woke up around 10. Kara was up and she made breakfast. She had a stack of waffles ready and some hot chocolate. She was wearing her Christmas pajamas. "Merry Christmas Babe" She said "Merry Christmas" I said and sat down to eat. Her waffles were amazing. They were better than any I've had. "These are the best things I've ever had" I said and we went to the couch. I played Christmas music in the bathroom. "You ready for your present?" I asked and got Kara's glasses from under the tree. She got her gift for me and handed it to me. I set mine aside. "You first" I said and Kara opened her gift. She gave me a confused look when she saw the glasses. "Put them on" I said and she did. "Now take them off fast" I said and she did, the shit forming on her. "Oh my Rao" She said, looking at the suit on her. "This suit is amazing, and it has pants!" Kara said excitedly "Yeah, I know you complain about the skirt being cold so I made it with pants, but I think the skirt is cute so I put in both" I explained "Its amazing" Kara said. I ran to get the kryptonite i borrowed from Bruce. "Stand still" I told Kara. I got out the kryptonite and used my speed to get it close to her before she could object. "Is that kryptonite?" She asked "Yes, but do you notice something about it?" I asked and it clicked "Its not working" She exclaimed "Is there kryptonite shields in my suit?" She asked exited "Yep, they are more durable too, practically indestructible, and a lot more slim and comfortable." I said "How did you make this" Kara asked "I had help from Batman and Winn. But all the ideas were mine and I made the kryptonite shield." I said, Kara looked taken back. "I got you a wallet." She said, "I'm sure I'll love it," I reassured. I talked her through the functions of her suit and how she could wear it under her clothes like normal and still have her glasses on.
