New Suits

Batman took off his gauntlet and used the speaker system to say something into it

"Dick, get down to the batcave"
"You told him your Batman."
"I swear if you gave him a stupid, bird themed costume and gave him a superhero name to help you fight crime I will call social services"
"Better get your phone out then"

Dick came down and he saw me "Hi Jason, I'm Dick, you can call me Robin" Dick said, hiding out a hand for me to shake. I turned to Bruce ''Why, you adopt this kid, let him in on everything about the other side of our lives. Not to mention you put a 13 year old in the field, in harm's way." I said annoyed "I'm 15" Dick said "Hold on, the adults are talking" I said to Dick and he rolled his eyes. "Bruce what were you thinking? You are supposed to be smart. Putting a 15 year old in harm's way is not smart" Bruce thought about it "Dick go put your suit on'' Bruce said and Dick went off

"I heard what happened to your dad, I'm sorry"
"Thank you, but I don't want to think about it right now. I came to hang out and make Kara a suit"
"So that's why you came?"
"Yep, I got some ideas, we can talk later. Go ahead and tell Lucius to come later"
"Alright"

Dick came back in a red and green suit "Where are his pants?" I said to Bruce agitated "Fuck off" Bruce said "Were making him a suit too when Lucius comes over. Scratch that Me a Lucius are making a suit, you don't know how. Or you just burnt out your ideas on your suits." I said and Bruce agreed, reluctantly, and so did Dick. I hung out with Bruce a bit, catching him up on everything he missed.

"I went to the central city and this guy came, he's as fast as me. He broke my back and beat me to a pulp. I lost a lot of blood. Because of the dark matter in my cells, Kara's blood was the closest to what I needed. So they weakened her with red sun and she gave me a transplant. Because of her kryptonian DNA, it mixed with my meta human DNA and now I have both sets of powers. So speed, flight, heat vision, etc."
"Wow, that's hard to believe."
"I know but aliens so"
"Yeah. Look man I'm sorry about your dad, I know what it's like to watch your parents get killed, and be powerless to stop it"
"I wasn't powerless, I could've stopped it"
"No, from what you've told me about this guy, he would've killed Henry no matter what. I also understand wanting to kill the man who did it. But you can't. No one deserves to die, and killing makes us exactly what we're trying to stop"
"Kara said the exact thing"
"She is a smart girl"
"That she is. So are you okay?"
"No, but I'm getting there"
"I'd be worried if you said you were okay"
"Batman worried about something besides his ego? Shocker"
"I hate you. Hold on, Lucius is here."
"Alright"

Bruce went off and returned with Lucius Fox several minutes later "Lucius, good to see you" I said holding out a hand and Lucius shook it "You too, I always enjoy making tech for you heroes'' Lucius said "Glad to hear it, cause we got a lot to make today." I said pulling out the usual schematics sheet. "Alright. So, Kara likes dresses. Which means sometimes she can't wear her supergirl suit underneath because the sleeves would show. So I had the idea to make the suit materialize on her body. It would come on when a sensor we would put on a new pair of glasses for her detected a certain speed. That way It wouldn't show up when she didn't need it to. The glasses lens needs to be lined with lead" I said looking between Bruce and Lucius, They nodded like they could make it work "Shorter cape, need a cape for aero-dynamics, but the cape needs to be shortened by 2 inches. That way it doesn't get in the way of flying fists as much. Better cape durability, and attachment needs to be cleaner. It will have pants but also the front and back of a skirt. Basically the suit will look similar to her current one. Tech wise, kryptonite shields, I can ask my friend how he made the last one and we can adjust it to make it more durable and slim. This sound doable?" They nodded and I gave them my schematics sheet. It had a drawing of what I wanted the suit and glasses to look like.

I called Winn and asked him how he made the kryptonite shields they used against matallo. He said he also was working on some slimmer, more durable ones that could be built into Kara's suit "That's great Winn, Send me everything you got, it's for Kara. Don't worry I'll credit you. I also need Kara's measurements from her last suit you made" I said and Winn sent everything. I thanked him and hung up. We spent the next few hours making things. I worked on the kryptonite shields and Lucius and Bruce worked on the actual suit first. After we all finished we worked on the glasses part of the idea. It took a few hours, once we finished I thanked them for their help and they got Dick down here to start with him. I pulled out my phone and called Kara

"Jason?"
"Hey Kara, you okay?"
"Yeah, Alex is here she just ordered dinner, do you want us to get you anything?"
"I won't be home in time, I'm sorry, but I gotta help Bruce with something, he adopted a kid and made him his sidekick. I'm gonna help out with his suit."
"Batman has a kid"
"He's 15 but yeah, so you gonna be okay tonight?"
"Yeah, what time are you gonna get home?"
"I'm not sure, maybe a few hours, It's your choice whether you wanna stay up or not. I'll be home as fast as I can though"
"Okay, have fun"
"Alright, bye Kara, Love you"
"I love you too"

I hung up and went back to the group. Dick was getting measured. I went to work on drawing up ideas. I planned for a black costume with blue detailing, weapons for Dick and other stuff. I made sure to get Dick's input on what he wanted too. We spent a few more hours on the suit and Dick put it on. "I love it, it's badass," Dick said, looking at the costume himself. " Jason makes better suits than you Bruce" Dick said, this clearly agitated Bruce a bit. "Dick give me one of your batons" I said and Dick gave me one. I took it and tapped it against each of Dicks shoulders and then above his head "I dub the Nightwing" I said and gave Dick his weapon back. "Stay safe out there Dick" I said and dick nodded. I said bye to Bruce and Lucius, thanking them for the help. I took The glasses I made for Kara. "Bruce can u get a small piece of kryptonite, and a lead container for it? I asked and Bruce gave it. I sped off back home.

Kara was still up, she was sitting on the couch with Alex. "Hey, im home" I said, checking on Kara's new glasses. I put them into a case and wrapped the case with Christmas wrapping paper at Bruce's. Kara and Alex saw the package "Whats that?" Alex asked "The first present for under the tree" I said "We don't have a Christmas tree" Kara said. I smiled and used my speed to decorate the apartment for Christmas. I put a tree up and strung tinsel and out candles around the place. I put up stockings and other Christmas decorations. I went back to where I was and stopped. "What do you mean we don't have a Christmas tree?" I said and pressed a button on the remote. 'Jingle Bell Rock started playing from my Christmas playlist. "You have got some mad Interior decorating skills'' Alex said "Wow, it looks amazing in here," Kara said "Where'd you learn to decorate like this?" I gave her my answer "growing up in foster care, I was the only one who really cared about Christmas, so I would always decorate my room. And Christmas was my mom's favorite holiday, where my love for it started" "I would have over your mom" Kara said "Yeah, and she would've loved you" I said and smiled. Alex said bye and I sat with Kara after I put her glasses under the tree.
