"Oh, I have to write a letter to my parents!" I said as I suddenly remembered. "What do I write?" I asked as I got up to take some paper and a quill.
"Hello mom and dad," Rickon started and I wrote as he said. "I might have caused a little fire in the school and I'm now expelled. Surprise! Please find me another school to go to," he continued.
"Rickon, I can't write that!" I looked at Rickon and Hayes. "Isn't that exactly what happened?" Rickon asked with a frown.
"Well yeah but I can't say it like this," I said as I was looking at the paper and trying to come up with a better idea.
"How about I got expelled from school. I need to leave in the morning and it could be nice if you could find me another school. Love Y/n," I said.
"But if they're gonna ask why you got expelled?" Hayes asked. "Then I'll tell them," I said and decided that this is a good thing to write.
"I'm gonna write it down," I said as I began writing it. They were both watching me as I wrote the letter and finally sealed the envelope. "So now I just have to get my owl," I said looking at Hayes.
"What are you gonna write Hayes?" I asked. "Probably the same that you did," he said numbly.
I still felt so bad for Hayes, but there was really nothing I could do about it now. We had to transfer and hope that we can continue going to the same school.
As Hayes finally wrote his letter, we both send them out and hoped that they would be there soon. Our families lived pretty close to the school so we were hoping to get a letter back before leaving tomorrow.
When I, Hayes, and Rickon got to catch up, we went to bed. It was so weird to sleep there knowing that I can never sleep there after today. It was weird to think that I will be seeing all the teachers and students daily anymore.
I was going to miss this place. Although some of the people were kind of mean, but that happens in every school. I was sad to leave. Beauxbatons had become my home with the years and I had made so many friends here.
It took me a while to fall asleep. The carriage with horses should arrive early in the morning. But what made me nervous was that I didn't know where to go. I can't go home. I have to get to another school. But I didn't know which one.
"Wake up Y/n," I hear someone say and shake me a little. I open my eyes and it was Hayes. He was all ready to go and was waiting for me to get up. He looked like he didn't get much sleep last night.
I slowly pushed myself up from the bed, put on my clothes, put the last things in my suitcase, and followed him downstairs.
Rickon was waiting for me downstairs. He had gotten up extra early to send me off. I ran and wrapped my arms around him. He did the same.
I was going to miss him so much. I missed him a lot when he was away for two weeks, but this was a lot longer.
"If we won't see earlier then I hope in the summer at least," he said as he was hugging me tighter. In the summer!? It felt like forever, but I didn't want to make it any harder on him.
Rickon sent us to the carriage and helped me get my suitcase. He was the best thing that ever happened to me and I was gonna miss him so fucking much.
When we were all set and ready to bo we finally took off. I had no idea where to go because the owl wasn't back with the letter yet. Now I actually wanted to go home. I didn't want to stay somewhere and wait to be accepted somewhere. I wanted to finally arrive somewhere.
We were just flying around, since we didn't know where to go, but the view from the window was gorgeous. We flew over a huge lake that shined up to us and over the woods that seemed to say bye to us.
I was looking out the window, admiring all of the beauty, when all of a sudden I hear wings. Like someone would be flying right next to us, but I couldn't see anyone.
Then all of a sudden my owl flies right into the carriage, carrying two letters. I quickly grabbed the letters. One was for me and the other one was for Hayes.
"This one's for you," I said handing him the letter. They were both from our parents. We stared at each other for a long time but finally decided to open the letters.
What does yours say?" I asked, being too scared to read mine.
"They are not very happy about me getting expelled. Obviously. But they are saying that they talked to Dumbledore and I could go to Hogwarts." He said reading his letter aloud."What does yours say?" He then turned to me. "We're gonna talk about this later blah blah, you'll now be going to Hogwarts whether you like it or not," I read my letter to him. Wait. Doesn't Hogwarts only accept witches and wizards from England?
"So we're both going to Hogwarts?" He seemed happy.
"Seems like you won't be getting rid of this pain in the ass," I brushed the thought away. Maybe I had heard wrong.
We were so happy that we didn't have to start alone in the new school. It was terrifying enough to be new. We then told the person driving the carriage, if he could drop us off at Hogwarts and he nodded.
Maybe it wasn't all that bad. Maybe it was good to have a fresh start. Make new friends and get new experiences. Might be fun.
We flew for a while and when we were close to arriving me and Hayes both looked out of the window.
It was so beautiful. Some of the quidditch people had described Hogwarts, but that was nothing compared to what it actually was.
A huge stone castle! It had a big staircase that led down to the water and there was a big bridge connecting two halves. It looked so cool. We could even see the light coming from it.
From far away we saw people waiting for us to arrive. There were three people. As we got closer I got a better look.
