We got to our common room and went up to the dorms. Everyone was there and it was so weird to just start packing my things. All the girls were looking at me weirdly.
"Where are you going?" Zoe asked as she was staring at my suitcase. "I don't know," I responded. I really didn't know what I was going to do next.
"What do you mean. It's the middle of the school year," one of the other girls was looking at my clothes with a disgusted look.
"Did you get expelled or something?" Zoe asked as she leaned closer to me with a mean smirk.
I didn't say a word and tried to keep my calm. "Oh my god you did!" She started laughing and everyone joined with her.
"We can't say I'm exactly sad about it," she chuckled as she picked up one of my shirts. "My grandma wears clothes like this and she's dead," she laughed showing everyone my shirt.
I just sighed and put my hand out. "Give it back," I said calmly. "Come get it," she said as she started running around the room with it.
"Are you two?" I looked at her with a questioning look. She still continued running around with it was waving the shirt around. She then ran towards the door, but right when she got there someone opened the door knocking her over.
Everyone quickly ran to see if she was okay. Even the girl who had opened the door instantly started apologizing to her and asked if she was okay.
I walked a little closer and took my shirt out of her hand. I couldn't care less about Zoe getting hit with a door. It was karma.
I put the shirt into the suitcase and closed it. I slid it back under my bed and went downstairs to see if Hayes was ready yet.
He was. He was sitting on one of the sofas completely alone. I didn't like seeing him like this. It's the same exact look when he found out that Zoe was cheating on him. I had ruined his chances in this school and I felt really bad.
I took a seat next to him and looked at him with a worried look. I didn't know how to make him feel better.
"So um... Did you tell your parents yet?" I asked as I continued looking at him.
"No. I don't know how they're gonna react. Have you?" He sounded apathetic. "I haven't either, but I think I'll write them today," I said, suggesting him to do the same.
"I'm baaaack!" We hear someone walk into the common room. We look at the door and it was Rickon! He was back! Earlier that I thought!
"You're back!" I say as I run to him to hug him. He picks me up from the ground and kisses me.
"Gosh, I missed you Y/n!" He said putting me back down. "I missed you too!" I said as I was admiring his little outgrown brown hair.
"What have you been up to? Tell me everything," he said as he walks to the sofa and takes a seat there. "Come here babe," he said patting the sofa next to him. I walk there and sit down next to him.
"So what you've been up to babe?" He asked as he put his arm around me. I looked at Hayes and I had no idea if I should tell him right away or wait for a little.
I decided to do it a little later. I wanted to do it in private and I had no idea how he would react if he found out.
"Not much has happened since you left actually. You haven't really missed out on anything," I said wrapping my arms around him.
"Except for the fact that we just got expelled," Hayes said quietly. I right away turned to him and looked at him angrily.
"Wait what? Expelled? Is that a joke?" He asked as he raised his voice and took his hand off of me.
"Well yes. I mean, it's not a joke. Umm... it's a long story," I said looking at him."Well I wanna hear it," he looked at me demandingly and waved his hand. "Well, umm... me and Hayes wanted to bake you a cake and we might have caused a tiny little fire in the kitchen," I explained quietly.
"Does that mean you're out of school?" He asked placing his hand on my thigh.
"That's normally what expelled means yeah," Hayes scoffed.
"Well we have to transfer into another school," I said taking his hand into mine."So you're gonna leave?" He was still confused and looked at me frowning. "Yes," I responded shortly.
"When are you leaving?" He frowned at me again. "Tomorrow morning," I said quietly looking at the carpet on the floor.
"What?" He didn't catch that. "We're leaving tomorrow morning," I repeated myself. "Tomorrow? They can do that?" He seemed very upset.
"I guess they can. But it doesn't have to change anything between us," I tried to make him feel better. "I've never been in a long-distance relationship," he says looking at me straight in the eyes.
"But we can work it out. We can write every day if you want to," I suggested hoping it would make him less upset. "Every day?" He was making sure. "Yeah every day," I assured.
"Well if we don't have another way then I guess we'll have to," he looked kind of sad.
I wrapped my hands around his torso and could feel his heart beating fast. He put his hand back around me and rubbed my arm lightly. I was going to miss him, but it was going to work out. I know it would!
