What would I do alone in Hogwarts during Christmas, when none of my friends are here? I guess my only option would be to go home.

In tears I took out my suitcase and started packing with other girls. Luckily no one had time to say anything about it, since they were occupied with their own stuff.

I threw everything that could possibly be necessary into the suitcase and slid it back under my bed once it was closed.

After that I was too exhausted to do anything, so I just went straight to bed and slept all the way to the morning.

The train was gonna leave at eight. My "parents" didn't even know I was coming. Even I didn't know until yesterday.

I'm not sure how I'm gonna go there and look them in the eye. I don't know if I could do this, but I had to try at least. I mean I can't just stay alone in Hogwarts. Right?

Normally I think I would've maybe went with Hayes if something like that happened, but this time he was gonna spend Christmas with his family on a trip.

I pushed myself up from the bed and slowly got ready. Brought my suitcase to the common room and looked at others doing the same.

Everyone was supposed to gather in front of the school to give up their suitcases and bags and then go on the train. I got ready to go outside.

"Good morning Y/n," Draco came up from behind me.

"Morning Draco," I said with a still disappointed voice. I was gonna miss him a lot during these two weeks

"We'll talk to Dumbledore right after we come back," he tucked my hair behind my ear and tried to make me feel better.

"You promise?" I gave him a sad look and put out my pinky. "I promise," he smiled and crossed our pinkies.

It made me feel a little better. If I didn't know who my mom is my whole life, what is two more weeks right? I think it'll be fine.

"I'm gonna miss you Y/n," he placed his hand on my cheek and looked me deep in the eyes.

"I'm gonna miss you too Draco. But it'll only be two weeks right?" I smiled through the tears forming in my eyes.

He sighed. "Yeah. Two weeks," he said quietly. Then he kissed my forehead and pulled me into a tight hug. Gosh I was gonna miss these. And his smell, what made me feel so intimidated at first but now so safe.

"Let's go onto the train," I took his hand into mine.

"I actually have to go the other way so this is the goodbye," he said out of nowhere.

"Wait, you're not coming onto the train?" I looked up at him.

"I'm not. But I know you'll be fine. You always are. Even without me next to you, I know you will," he said with a weak smile and pet my hair.

"Happy Christmas then," I responded with a weak smile as well.

"Happy Christmas," he said quietly pressing his lips against mine. When we finally pulled apart was time to get on the train. Draco walked the other way.

"Is everyone on the train?" one of the teachers asked when I was almost there.

"Wait! I'm coming!" I stretched out my hand and ran onto the train. "Did you see anyone else out there?" The teacher asked. "Umm," I had no idea.

"Nope," I stuck my head out of the train and looked around. "Alright. Take your seat now,"

I started walking past the full compartments or seeing half empty ones with the people I wasn't a fan of. I was looking for where my friends were but I couldn't find them anywhere.
