"So, what happened with you and Draco?" Merroy asked from far away. I looked at him, then at Draco and then back at him. I had no intention to answer that.
"He asked a question Y/n!" Pansy said from the other side of the room. "Feel free to respond Parkinson," I said without looking at her.
Was the only place I could be in peace my dorm? I can't even chill in the common room without getting weird looks or questions thrown at me from every direction.
"I'm gonna go," I said and got up. "Where?" Hayes asked. "I don't know. Somewhere," I replied and I walked out of the common room without saying anything else. Hopefully no one follows me this time and I can be in peace.
I just wanted to think about everything and get my head back to normal. I quickly made my way to the bridge between two parts of the school.
It was outside, so it was very cold, but I really didn't care. I needed fresh air and room to think. Luckily there was no one else around at the time.
I leaned on the edge of the bridge and looked down. Why does things like that have to happen to me?
I was really starting to hate coming to Hogwarts. I know getting expelled from Beauxbatons wasn't really my choice, but I just could've gone to any other wizarding school and I'd be fine. I wouldn't know Draco or Snape. I would just live a lot better life.
Thinking about all of that, I just couldn't stop myself from crying. I just couldn't keep it in anymore. I had done everything wrong, and now I just had to live with it. But I just couldn't.
I sat down on the bridge and buried my head into my hands. I just wanted to disappeard from the world. I can't do this anymore.
All of a sudden I hear steps coming towards me. I was hoping it's just a passer by, so I didn't raise my head to see who it was.
"Y/n?" I heard a familiar voice. "Mh?" I looked up and out of everyone it could've been I saw Ron.
"Uh, did something happen?" He asked awkwardly. "No, it's all good," I replied shortly. "But you're crying," he said. I saw in his eyes that it was so forced.
"Yeah, happens sometimes," I said jokingly and forced a smile. "Uh, okay, bye then," he said. "Bye," I buried my head into my hands again as he walked past me.
Shit why do always something bad has to happen when something good happens. Like it just has to cancel it out?!
I was so happy that Rickon had came into Hogwarts and just like that something so bad happens. And it's Draco's fault.
"I can't just leave you here, what happened?" I shortly heard Ron's voice again. "Should I get someone?" He seemed actually a bit worried.
"No need, I'm fine really," I was trying to convince him, that I was fine. He took a step away from me.
"No I feel like I should really get someone," he came back again. "Should I get Lynnet?" He asked. "No,"
"What about Harry?" "No,"
"Hayes then?" "No,"
"Blaise maybe?" "No,"
"Draco?" He looked at me hoping I'd say no again. "Definitely not," I said to his relief. "But who then? Oh, Cedric?" He got another idea.
"No I don't need you to get anyone," it made me laugh a little. "So it's just me huh?" He looked worried. "You don't have to-" he sat down next to me.
"Go on, tell me what's wrong," he said. "Ron I really appreciate it, but I really can't talk about it," I said.
"Too personal?" He asked. "Yeah," I agreed. "Well you don't have to. I can just accompany you to make sure nothing happens," he didn't move his ground.
"Thank you," out of all the people, I'd think that he would be the last one to come and accompany me, when I'm feeling down.
"Since, you don't want to say anything, could I?" He asked. "Oh sure, what is it?" I turned to him.
"I wanted to apologize," he began. "I judged you too quickly and since you are friends with Malfoy, I just thought that there is no way that you are nice, but turns out that you and Malfoy are nothing alike," he said with apologetic eyes.
"I forgive you Ron. It actually makes me feel a lot better, knowing that you don't hate me, at least anymore," I chuckled a little. "And I also apologize, I wasn't the nicest always,"
"I'm happy we're good," he said. "Me too," it was actually great. Now I had one less problem and also one new friend. It actually cheered me up. I felt a lot better hearing those things.
Although these problems were not even related, it felt good to fix that. And I was very glad. But now I was getting very cold.
"I'm pretty cold, I think I'm gonna go back inside," I said pushing myself up from the ground. "Me too," he said and stood up as well. We both walked inside.
"I heard you sprained your ankle, how's that?" He asked. "Oh it's a lot better. It hurts a lot less when I lean on it, and it's actually not very swollen anymore," I said. He was happy to hear that.
"I'm gonna go to the dungeons," I said when we got to the staircase. "See you tomorrow in class then," he said. "See you Ron," I said back and walked down the stairs to the dungeons straight to the common room.
"Oh Y/n you're back," Hayes said seeing me walk through the passage. "Hi," I said and sat back down between Hayes and Blaise.
"Did you talk to Draco?" Blaise asked me. "Yeah, we talked for a good half an hour in his room Blaise," I said annoyed. Was he blind?
"No I mean, right now?" He asked. "What do you mean right now? I wasn't with him," I looked at him confused. "Really? He left right after you did," he explained. "In that case he's probably doing something dumb right now," he said.
Other times I would've probably rushed out and look for him, but this time I really didn't care. I didn't care if he did something stupid. "Wouldn't be the first time," I said carelessly and didn't think more about it.
"I'm gonna go see how's Rickon," I said when I looked around in the common room and couldn't see him anywhere. I walked to his dorm.
"Can I come in?" I said from behid the door. Gotten a permission I walked inside. "What's up?" I said quietly.
"I can't believe that the letters were not lost. That blondie fricking hid them," he seemed pretty frustrated. "But at least that brought you here. Maybe you wouldn't be here, if he didn't," I said trying to make him feel better although I didn't even believe it myself.
"Come here," he asked me to come lie down next to him. I did and we cuddled for a while. Soon it was nighttime and I didn't even realise it.
I fell asleep with him and woke up next to him in the morning. "Good morning Y/n," Rickon gently touched my face. "Morning," I said stretching.
"I don't want to go," I said hugging the pillow when he got up from the bed. "Unless you want to wear my clothes I think you should," he chuckled.
"You know what? Do you still have that green sweater that I used to wear in beauxbatons?" I asked. "Yeah, you want it?" He walked to his suitcase. "I'll take it, if you don't mind," I said smilingly. "Here you go," he handed me the sweater.
I put it on and also put on my robe and I was done. I then went to the bathroom to wash my face and brush my teeth and then I was ready. "Are you ready?" I asked Rickon when I got back from the bathroom. "Am I ready? Are you ready?" He said joingly. "Let's go then," I said
"What's our first class?" He asked. "Care of the magical creatures," I said and we walked down to the common room.
