Everyone quickly turned their heads to Snape. I was making myself as little as possible behind the sofa.

"I'll ask again. Where is Y/n?" He said with even more demanding voice. "Y/n? Not here," Blaise said quickly.

"Y/n? I thought she stayed in the great hall with you professor," Draco spat from the other sofa making it pretty believeable.

I didn't see how Snape reacted, but from the tension in the room I could tell it was intense. "She ran towards the common room," I heard Snape coming closer.

"Well, I think you must've seen wrong professor. I think we would know if Y/n ran into here," Ly said from the same sofa I was hiding behind.

"Maybe she ran to the potions classroom," Hayes said.

My heart was beating so fast that I was afraid it would jump out of my chest. I was struggling to keep my breathing under control.

"Well, would you still have that same smirk of yours if I looked into her dorm, Mr Malfoy," Snape said. "Go ahead," Draco said with a careless voice.

I heard Snape walking towards my dorm. Guess he couldn't be sure that Draco was telling the truth. "What is going on Y/n?" Blaise looked down at me from the side of the sofa.

"I'll tell you later, just convince him that I'm not here," I said quietly thinking that he could come back any second. "What did you do?" Hayes joined in with the questions.

But right before I could answer everyone turned their heads back. Snape was back. "I know that you are here Y/n," he said firmly walking around the room a little. Shit.

"I can assure you professor, she is not here. Maybe you should keep a better eye on your daughter," one of the Slytherin guys said from the table. Thanks.

"Last chance to tell me where she is," I heard him say and come closer. "Why do you need her?" Draco asked.

"She is my daughter," he said shortly and took a step closer to the sofa. Everyone got a little scared since Snape was getting quite close to the sofa. "I'll help you look," Blaise said and started walking towards the door, probably hoping that Snape would follow him out.

"She's not here," Hay said one last time, getting a little frustrated.

"Then who is that?" Snape had found me and was now pointing at me trying to hide behind the sofa.

I turned around and he was standing right in front of me, looking down at me with a slightly annoyed face. He grabbed my arm and pulled me up from the ground.

"Come with me," he commanded and pulled me towards the door. Draco right away stood up from the sofa and came after us. "Stay here Draco," Snape said firmly putting his hand out.

I looked at Draco and shrugged. He then took a step back and Snape pulled me out of the common room towards the potions classroom.

"What do you want?" I asked right away as he let go of my arm in the empty classroom. "I am trying to keep you safe Y/n," he said with a frustrated voice that had a hint of anger in it.

"That was keeping me safe? Making me hide from you?" I looked him in the eyes, trying to make him feel bad. "Y/n-"

"What!" I raised my voice.

"You have to stay away from Draco," he said emotionlessly. "Why?" I asked trying to remain clam. "I'm trying to keep you safe
Y/n."

"By telling me who I can interact with and who I can't?" I asked. "What gives you that right?"

"I'm your father, Y/n," he said raising his eyebrows. I swallowed the lump in my throat.

"Where was the 'I'm your father' thing before. You're here only because you feel guilty now!" I yelled at him while trying to fight tears. I saw it hurting him. Guess I was right.
