We followed him to our dorms. My dorm was really pretty. It had a lot of snake details.
There were a lot of beds and all of them had green sheets on them. There was also a big green carpet on the floor. The dormitory also looked very dark, but it was very nice and I loved it there.
"Well get settled and then get to class. We still have potions," the prefect explained.
I brought in my suitcase and placed some of the things on my nightstand. I also changed my clothes.
I was wearing jeans and a sweater, but now I put on my Slytherin uniform. I looked into the mirror and it looked very good on me. I loved the green color.
I then went downstairs to the common room and saw Hayes and Blaise waiting for me. We walked to potions together.
Potions classroom was not far and we got there pretty fast. I was good at potions so I was excited to be in this class. I sat down between Blaise and Hayes and took out my book and quill. After we sat down the Gryffindors came into the classroom.
There was Harry Potter! I had never actually met him, but I knew his backstory. It was very cool. He was very famous all around the world.
With him came one redhead who seemed cool and one brunette girl who seemed to be smart? She was carrying a big fat book. Behind them also came in three Slytherins. I don't know who they were, but two of them looked kind of weird and one of them had platinum blonde hair.
They sat next to Blaise, but I didn't think much of it. I was excited about the potions class. Then Snape came into the classroom and everyone got quiet. I was very excited about the potions class. Everyone seemed to be kind of done with it though.
"I will be dividing you into groups and you'll have to follow the instructions to make the potion." Professor Snape said looking at me and Hayes weirdly.
We were all divided into groups, and I got to be with Hayes, Blaise, and one other Slytherin girl named Lynnet.
As we all sat down at one of the tables, I instantly knew that this was gonna work out well. Everyone seemed to be very friendly.
"So where do we start?" I asked rubbing my hands together and looking at the book.
"I guess we could start with getting a cauldron," Blaise chuckled as he got up to bring us one.
"Well I can go and weigh out the ingredients," Lynnet suggested.
"Yeah and you Hayes can start chopping up the ingredients," I said pointing at Hayes.
"Yes boss," he joked and went with Lynnet to get the ingredients.
My job was to make mix everything into the potion and not mess it up. I wouldn't want to mess up on my first day, but I was pretty confident in myself. I knew I could do it.
"So I got some powdered unicorn horn," Blaise came back with a cauldron and a bit of powder. "Is that enough?" He asked.
"Yeah, that's more than enough. Now we need powdered moonstone," I said looking around waiting for someone to find it.
"Oh got it!" Lynnet said as she started walking towards us with a little bowl full of crushed moonstone.
"Perfect," I said taking the bowl from her hands. "We need powdered porcupine quills too."
"I have that," Hayes smiled as he handed it to me.
"Now all we need is syrup of hellebore and we can start brewing the potion," I said.
Everyone went to look for it and I joined them. Other groups were also struggling to find it. It was pretty dark in there, plus there were a lot of people.
"Got it!" Said Hayes grabbing a bottle from the shelf and walking back to our tables."Good job," I said. "Now I'm gonna mix it together and soon well have The Draught Of Peace.
I started adding all the ingredients into the cauldron one by one while stirring it. It was bubbling and looked right to me. As I was almost done, I added the last ingredient and stirred it thoroughly.
It was supposed to be stirred for a while and everyone was getting a little bored.
