Y/n's POV
I think that might have been the best idea yet, all I had to do is be a little flirty with Theo and I'll be good. At least I think so.
"I guess I'll walk around the school for some time now," I said. It was not necessary to be with him when we were not in front of others, and I couldn't yet go back to the common room.
"Or we can walk together," he put his left hand on his side, creating a loop. At first I thought it was a little funny, but oh what the hell? There wasn't anything stopping me anymore.
"Where to?" He asked as soon as I crossed my arm with his.
"I think it's pretty much time for dinner, so great hall?" I said chuckling a little. I remembered the time when we wanted to take out our share earlier and snuck into the kitchen under great hall.
"Or kitchen, wherever you want to," I said.
"That sounds tempting, but I think we should go to great hall. Plus there will be others there," he said quietly leaning towards me.
"Well we don't want to get stepped over," I looked back and saw that other Slytherins were coming out of the common room to the dungeons to get to the great hall as well.
"You're right," he grabbed my arm a little stronger and started running towards the stairs. That's not what I had in mind.
"Running? Not my specialty, but if it's for a greater good, I guess," I laughed trying to keep up with him. Luckily we weren't going too fast so I was able to.
We ran all the way up the stairs and then back again since we got off in the wrong place because they moved. But up the stairs again.
I don't know exactly if I missed a step, but I stumbled in the middle of the staircase up.
"Oh shit," Theo put his hand under so I wouldn't at least face-plant on the hard surface of the stairs. He was laughing so hard and so was I.
"C'mon," he pulled me up. "You alright?" He couldn't stop laughing.
"Yeah, I'm fine," I laughed too, but I was a little embarrassed. Why do I always fall when it's critical not to fall?
"This fucker's gonna change again, let's go," he now grabbed my hand into his and pulled me behind him towards the top of the staircase. Holding hands was a little unexpected with him. Reminded me of-
doesn't matter who.Giggling all the way, we finally made it to the floor that was great hall and also with that same laugh wave we entered the great hall.
"Where do we sit?" I asked seeing that the Slytherin table didn't have a lot of people yet. Most were coming closely behind us, so we had a chance to choose our places.
"In the middle," he said pointing at the part of the table that was near the fireplace, right in the middle.
"Okay," We sat down, so we were facing the fireplace and had our backs to Gryffindors at the table next to us.
I wasn't too hungry today tho. I think it was because of the lunch. I had eaten quite a lot.
But at the same time I knew I would get very hungry later if I didn't eat dinner, so I forced myself to eat some."Chicken?" Theo asked pointing at the big wooden bowl with chicken legs in it, and putting out his hand for my plate. "Yup," I said giving him my plate. He put a chicken leg on it and then placed it back in front of me.
When we had already started eating, we saw other Slytherins coming into the great hall. Wow they must've really struggled with those stairs if it took them that long. Hay, Ly, Blaise and Pansy were also with them.
It was still so weird that Pansy was hanging out with us. I didn't really feel like I could trust her, but maybe if some time passes and she proves that she is not a bitch anymore.
"Evening lovebirds," Ly said sitting down over the table from us, having her back towards the fireplace.
"So care to enlighten us, what's going on?" Hay asked when he and Blaise sat down on either side of Ly. Pansy sat down next to Blaise.
"What do you mean?" I looked at them innocently like I had no idea what they were talking about. "This," Hay circled his finger our way.
"You don't like?" I asked looking at all of them. "I think it's cute," Pansy was the one to say.
"I myself didn't think you'd move on so quickly as well," Ly said quietly, thinking that maybe I'd not like this answer.
"So didn't I. But here we are," Theo said from next to me, keeping the act alive pretty well. I nodded.
"No but really. Is this some kind of thing to make Draco jealous?" Blaise asked lowering his voice so that only chosen people would be able to hear.
"More to show him what he's missing out on," Theo answered for me once again. And thank god. That probably sounded better coming from him than from me. I once again nodded in agreement.
"Well I'm on board with that," Ly said raising her eyebrows.
"If that's what you want Y/n then same," Hayes agreed.
"What do you think Blaise?" I turned to him.
"Uh, yeah," he said shortly going back to his eating. Did he not like that idea? Why not.
"I don't think that idea absolutely sucks," Pansy surprisingly said from next to Blaise to fill the silence.
That was unexpected. But if she doesn't think it sucks, maybe that plan actually does. Why would Pansy be on board with that plan if it wasn't for her own benefit somehow?
"Good," Theo said to Pansy.
"But how long are you gonna keep it up?" Hay asked taking a sip of his drink.
"Well as long as we want to. Or at least as long as needed," Theo turned to me.
"Yeah. And I have no idea how long it is yet," I said turning my look from Theo to others across the table from us. They seemed to be okay with that answer.
"Where is Draco," Ly all of a sudden turned her head to the entrance. We all did the same and I noticed Estrid, Merroy and Rickon walking through the entrance into the great hall. They were now walking towards the table.
Did Draco stay behind because he was not hungry?
"Well we have bigger problems," I brought the drink up to my lips seeing that they were headed towards us and having the eyes on the free spots next to us.
They were actually heading towards us, but we didn't lose hope up until Rickon took a seat right next to Theo, and Estrid next to him. Merroy sat down next to Pansy. Old duo together again right?
"Bon appétit," Estrid said grabbing a chicken leg from the bowl and looking at us. "You too," I said unbothered.
"You want more chicken babe?" Theo put his hand around me and pointed at the bowl once again. "Sure," I said with a wide smile. I was kind of full, but I couldn't refuse.
Why was it so easy to act like we were dating? I guess I'm a natural.
Although he was the one to do most of the talking, it was great that it seemed somewhat believable. I actually quite enjoyed it. It was like a little game.
A game that is played by two.
