In the divination classroom we all sat down at the round tables. We sat down at the one that was off the ground a little. Better view. And further away from Trelawney. She scares me sometimes.
When Trelawney said we will be seeing our future with cards I heard people sigh. I looked at Ly, with a questioning face.
"We have done it before," she quickly explained everyone's frustration.
"Well, it's not like our future is the same anymore," I said enthusiastically.
At first Trelawney told us how to see the future with cards and also gave each table a book to see what each card meant.
"Looking around in the class I suddenly realized that Harry, Hermione and Ron were sitting at the table that we was directly above.
Now was my chance to tell Harry that I actually do want to help him with that potion.
"I'm gonna go get the cards," Hayes stood up from next to me.
"Har-"
"What's up?" My intentions to talk to Harry were interrupted by one and only Theo Riddle, who had comfortably set himself to sit right next to me, where Hayes originally was sitting.
"So, what are we doing?" He looked at me energetically, rubbing his palms together with a smile.
"Hayes was sitting here," I waisted no time to remind him that. Hayes was already heading back with the cards for everyone anyway.
"Is it that important who we sit next to, Y/n? We're not ten anymore," he looked at me with confusion like he forgot that I just walked away from him on the stairs.
"Plus, I think Windsor can manage from the other side of the table just as well," he added as soon as he noticed Hayes coming at the table with a little bit of a flustered face.
But he heard him, and as usual, Hayes didn't really want to make a scene, so he just sat down next to Blaise on the other side of the round table.
"See? I told you he could manage," Theo smilingly pointed at Hayes, who was now handing out the cards and then placing the book on the table in front of him.
It was then time to begin reading our future with cards. I tried to ignore the fact that Theo was sitting next to me instead of Hayes.
So the first thing that Trelawney told us to do, was all shuffle the cards once. So Hayes picked up the pack of cards, shuffled it and gave it to Blaise. Blaise did the same and handed the cards to Pansy. I bet we're gonna get some negative energy from her into those cards.
Pansy made the card pack into two and placed against the table, slid her finger across the edges of both packs, making the cards go one from one pack and then one from the other into one stack. She kind of looked like one of those poker pros, I must give her credit.
Pansy then handed the cards to Ly, who still seemed very skeptical about the whole future reading thing in general, so she quickly put a couple of cards on the top to the bottom and handed it to me.
Trelawney had told us to try redirect the positive energy into the pack, and since I was pretty on board with all of that, I closed my eyes and thought about redirecting positive energy into the card pack as I was shuffling it in my hands. I did that for some time and I think I cleansed whatever negativity Pansy got into it.
"You done?" Theo asked from next to me with a little chuckle. I opened my eyes and handed the card pack to him. Hopefully there is enough good energy in these that would be strong under all the negative that was gonna come from Theo.
