"Please can I talk to you for a second?" Ivan asked nervously as he fiddled nervously with his hands.
My heart started to thump in fear. "W..Will y..you j..j..just l...leave me al..alone?" I sighed and turned around to walk away. He held my wrist and dragged me to an empty classroom and locked the door. My heart stopped. Every bone in my body froze.
"Why are you fucking ignoring me!?" He asks pinning me to the wall and his eyes filled with rage. I flinch at the anger in him. I swallowed hard, feeling beads of sweat dripping down my forehead.
"W..why d..did y..you bring me here?" My voice wavers. The people in masks who drugged me play in my mind. I look around the empty classroom in fear.
He was going to hit me. My eyes widen in fear.
"I missed you" He mumbles and I grow stiff.
Fear courses through my vein.
I couldn't run.
I couldn't hide.
I shut my eyes close.
"Thea, open your eyes!" Hot tears threatened to fall down my face but all I could do was hide behind my hair.
He gently holds my jaw and tilts my head so that I can face him. I look into his eyes which were filled with longing and something I didn't know. He lowered my hands and let go of my wrists.
"Talk to me,Cupcake" he pleads. He leans his forehead on mine. "Talk to me," he pleads again.
"I can't," I whisper. My heart beats wildly and Ivan looks taken back.
Sucking in a breath, I push Ivan away. I see many emotions pass through his eyes.
Disappointment.
Rejection.
Hurt.
Pain.
He takes a few steps back. His expression slowly darkens and I stiffen when it turns cold. His eyes look colder than ever and my heart plummets in my chest. Will he hurt me?
"Please leave me, I beg you"
"Thea, don't do this to me, did I make any mistake?"
"Please, Let me go" I choke out. My vision blurs as I struggle to breathe.
"Never"
I feel a hand grabbing my arms so I jerk away.
Hesitantly, he let his palm linger on my cheek, warmth exuding from his skin into mine. Holding my breath, I shoved his hands away fearing that he would touch my aid and slipped past his towering figure, slamming the doors open. I could hear the wooden panels smack against the walls behind me as I stormed away, wiping my tears with my now free hands.
