Part 51: Sk8er Boi

The day of skate & surf had arrived. They waited in front of Azami and Haku's house.

Noemi:"Come on. Skate & Surf is just getting good at this hour and no sign of Mei and Linda."

Gene:"They won't answer their phones."

Misty:"Waiting 10 more minutes won't kill us."

Haku:"Speak for yourself."

Misty stomped on Haku's skateboard, making it slam against his crotch.

Haku:"FUCK!"

Misty:"Speak for who now?"

Mei:"Sorry we're late!"

Sora:"What took you two so long?"

Both Linda and Mei turned around. Yuki and Kiwi strapped securely on their backs.

Linda:"We sewed up old backpacks to make baby carries."

Azami:"Creative. Now let's go!"

The group grabbed their boards and skated over to the boardwalk. The setting was amazing. They set up a stage and skate ramps on the beach. Beside was a fairis wheel, and different shops set up on the board walk.

The group happily skated threw the crowd. Yuki and Kiwi grabbed everything they could get their hands on, eventually stealing ice cream from some girls in bikinis.

Yuki:"Nummies!"

Gene:"These kids got skills."

Linda:"I know right."

The group split for a few. Linda, Azami and Sora heded for the ramps. Noemi, Shinya, Cecil and Pacifica headed for the beach. Mei, Haku and Misty hit the stage to see the local bands perform, including Gene's band. Stone and Rogue hit the snack shops.

Sora:"I bet I can skate to the bottom faster."

Linda:"Bet not!"

Some boys stepped in.

Guy 1:"I bet neither."

Sora:"Excuse me?"

Guy 2:"These are the big ramps. They aren't for any fake skating Bettys."

Linda:"Oh really?"

Guy 3:"Go back to flat ground and impress your boyfriends."

Azami:"I'LL HAVE YOU KNOW I'M SINGLE!"

Sora:"You sure you should be announcing that with such pride?"

Azami:"Oh right, I forgot I shouldn't have feminine self worth."

Sora:"Point taken. You go girl."

Guy 1:"If your whole lipgloss Barbie conversation is over, would you please let the big boys skate?"

Linda:"Suuuuure we'll right down. HOLD ON KIWI!"

Linda, Sora and Azami jumped on their boards and rode down full speed.

Kiwi:"WEEEEEEEEEEE!"

The girls laughed as they rode back and forth on the ramp. Linda and Sora jumped off the ramp gracefully. Azami on the other hand fell. Luckily a gentleman was there to catch her fall. Tall, tattooed and shirtless... Also covered in sand and sea water.

Azami:"Wow... Thanks."

Guy:"Woah that was some gnarly wipe out."

Azami:"I guess..."

Guy:"Don't listen to those kooks. They can't see anything a good thing coming their way. I'm Blane, by the way."

Azami:"Azami."

Sora:"AZAMI COME ON! ALL TIME LOW IS ABOUT TO PLAY!"

Azami:"I guess I'll see you around."

Blane:"Hope so, beach bunny."

Azami let out a smile and ran over to the stage.
