Chapter 26: The artistic type

So after battle practice Mei decided to go see Yuki. She usually like playing in the pastures with the other baby dragons, always an adult from the fertility/maternity dragons watching over them. Today Mei spotted that new boy, Gene playing his violin between all the babies. Mei saw Yuki between them and decided to walk over.

Mei:"Hi precious! How are you doing!"

Yuki already recognizes Mei and stumbled over to her, changing from dragon to human baby form. Mei picked her up and gave her a hug before sitting on the ground putting her on her lap.

Gene:"She's cute."

Mei:"Yeah. She's adorable."

Gene:"She really took after you."

Mei:"Uh..."

Gene:"When the guys showed me around we stopped here and Haku introduced me to her already."

Mei:"Oh."

Mei felt a bit embarrassed the new cute guy already knows she was a mom but the feeling quickly faded away when she felt Yuki wiggle on her lap. Yuki was nothing to be ashamed or embarrassed of.

Gene:"Aw she's lovely! Can I hold her?"

Mei:"Uh sure. Be careful."

Yuki didn't hesitate to Gene's arms and quickly snuggled into his lap.

Gene:"I love kids."

Mei:"Really? Most guys unless they have a baby in their life they aren't very fond of them."

Gene:"Well I do. Well they aren't mine mine but. The thing is my parents divorced years ago and my mom remarried. He's an awesome guy and when I was 16 she had my sister and now I'm 18 and she also just had my brother. So yeah I have two babies in my life and I love them."

Mei:"Aw that is so sweet."

Gene:"Yeah I guess most dudes my age would find it a real pain, but I love it."

Mei:"I guess we have that in common. Yuki might have new parents but I'll always be her mom."

Gene:"Yeah. She's got your pretty face anyway."

Mei looked up and smiled. Keep this up and Yuki, you might have a new daddy. Gene smiled back, took out his violin and started playing.
