Incoherent

Part 43: Parenthood

So the next morning everyone got a ride and headed to Linda's house. Azami and Haku brought some toys. Mei got some baby bottles and bibs. Sora got some baby food. And Noemi and Shinya took a playpen. They all knocked on Linda's door.

Mei:"Linda? How did it go with Kiwi?"

No answer. They decided to just let themselves in. Inside was a total mess. Food was everywhere, furniture was thrown around and some parts of the house were burnt. They saw Linda sitting on the couch with Kiwi both crying.

Azami:"WHAT THE FUCK HAPPENED HERE!"

Linda:"I TRIED TO BE A PARENT!"

Sora:"WE CAN SEE THAT!"

Kiwi sneezed fire and shook. Noemi picked her up.

Noemi:"SHE'S FREEZING!"

Mei:"AND HAS THE SNIFFLES!"

Linda:"Long story..."

Azami:"Speak."

Linda:"Okay. I sat her on the couch and it stayed there until like 1 am. Then it started crying so I thought it wanted food, so I sat on the kitchen counter but it wouldn't tell me what it wanted it just cryed. So I made it a hot pocket with extra hot sauce, cuz that's my favorite but apparently not its because it started freaking out on fire so I decided to give it a ice bath so it would cool down. Then it started sneezing fire and and I just gave up!"

Mei:"YOU GAVE A BABY AN ICE BATH!"

Linda:"IT SEEMED LIKE A GOOD IDEA AT THE TIME!"

Mei:"No. Nope. Give me the baby!"

Mei wrapped Kiwi in a warm towel.

Mei:"TO THE DRAGON KINGDOM!"

Haku:"What about...?"

Mei:"WE'RE GOING!"

After the usual trip Mei led them to the paternal group.

Mei:"MIRA!"

Mira:"No need to shout. I'm here."

Mei:"Are there any parents waiting to adopt?"

Mira:"Not now. Why?"

Mei just showed her Kiwi.

Mira:"SHE'S BEAUTIFUL! But none of you were pregnant... I would've known."

Azami:"Let's just say we found her."

Misty:"Stop sugarcoating. Mira dragon hunters killed her parents."

Mira:"THE DRAGONS HUNTERS ARE BACK?"

Kemper:"WHAT?!"

Nuka:"They disappeared thousands of years ago!"

Cecil:"It's true they had the masks."

Kemper:"Oh shit... Please tell me Shinya had nothing to do with it!"

Noemi:"No he's innocent."

Kemper:"Okay... Okay... Nuka..."

Nuka:"Come on. We have much to discuss. Will some of you guys come with us?"

Pacifica:"Me and Cecil will go."

Nuka:"A human also."

Gene:"I'll go. See you in a while."

Mei:"Okay."

Linda:"Me too!"

Sora:"Not you! It looks like your Kiwi's new guardian."

Linda:"WHAT!?"

Azami:"But you're a horrible parent. That had to be fixed."

Mei:"I have an idea."

About 10 minutes later.

Mira:"Hello young dragons! Welcome to parenting class!"

Linda:"Shoot me."

Kiwi:"Mama!"

Linda:"YOU SHUT UP!"
