Chapter 19: If you love something, let it go

The group arrived at the dragon fertility and child area. There was a wall of dragons in the entrance.

Rogue:"Cassie what's going on?"

Cassie:"Your mother is treating one of your friends who is apparently in labor."

Rogue:"They aren't my friends!"

Azami:"Labor? IT HASN'T BEEN 9 MONTHS YET!"

Haku:"I'M THE BOYFRIEND CAN I PASS?"

Cassie:"No you may not pass. And just let Mira do her job."

Rogue:" Don't worry. My mom won't let anything bad happen."

Sora:"Don't worry? DON'T WORRY? EXCUSE ME BUT YOUR BEST FRIEND ISN'T IN THERE! AND AND... and where's Shinya?"

Shinya:"Hey look!"

Shinya was poking every dragon he saw. He was already in the fire area... poking Azula.

Noemi:"SHINYA NO! BAD BOY! COME BACK HERE!"

Shinya:"But its a dragon!"

Sora:"Yes their everywhere here now COME ON!"

Azula:"No. Let him stay. We do need new target practice!"

Noemi growled at Azula. Azula returned the action, and Sora arrived between them.

Sora:"Come on, Noemi. Let's go."

Noemi:"NO! SHE WANTS TO FIGHT COME ON!"

Azula:"Pathetic youngling."

Noemi:"COME AT ME!"

Sora:"Seriously the tough act really isn't your thing. Now LET'S GO!"

Shinya:"Look the overgrown lizard is mad!"

Azula grew furious and threw the same flame she threw at Rogue to Shinya. Sora stood in front of Shinya and caught the flame with her hand. It gave her a bleeding cut in her hand, but her face didn't flinch. She kept looking at Azula in the eyes. Linda flew over.

Linda:"Mira is done with Mei. She's actually... incredibly fine."

Sora and Noemi spread their wings. Noemi grabbed Shinya and took flight.

Shinya:"THIS IS FUN!"

Sora rolled her eyes and kept flying. When she squeezed her hand blood dripped down.

Linda:" Are you okay?"

Sora:"I'll be better when I see Mei."

They arrived and Mei was getting dressed, Azami and Haku helping. No baby or Mira in sight.

Noemi:"Mei how do you feel?"

Mei:"I feel perfectly fine."

Haku:"Mei... Where's our baby?"

Mei:"Baby?.. baby... Mira... Mira took it. MIRA!"

Mei roared and ran to the direction she saw Mira take her baby, but other dragons stopped her. She growled at the two dragons blocking her path but they didn't move.

Linda:"MEI CALM THE FUCK DOWN!"

Mei:"NO! SHE TOOK MY BABY!"

Mira:"Girl."

Mira walked between the two dragons who now moved.

Mira:"I am sorry Mei but, your daughter isn't going home with you."

Azami:"Why not?"

Mira handed the baby girl to Mei. Her hair was black with enormous, ocean blue, doll like eyes. Her skin was white and her cheeks rose pink.

Mei:"She's perfect... why can't I take my baby?"

Haku:"Our."

He tried to touch his daughter but Mei almost bit his hand off.

Haku:"I see your going threw some kind of hormonal change. I'll take my daughter when you cool down."

Mira:"Wait for it."

The baby looked up at everyone and smiled. When she laughed something happened. Her skin started changing color, and texture. She turned a lilac color, her skin transformed into scales and she sprouted a small tail and tiny wings.

Mei:"But... but... but!"

Mira:"You can't take a dragon to the human world. She'll be killed. And you can't stay here. Your families will get suspicious and at some point discover this place. You must leave her here and you must go on living a normal life. Tell your families you lost the baby."

Mei:"NO!"

Haku:"There isn't another way?"

Mira:"No. Its this way or the baby is as good as dead. She's your daughter. Do what's best for her. We have a dragon couple right here willing to take her in."

Mei:"NO!"

Haku:"MEI! There's nothing we can do!"

A young dragon couple flew over. Mira nodded at them.

Mira:"You can see her whenever your here. But for now please say your goodbyes."

Mei hugged her baby girl as tight as she could and cried. Haku also gave his daughter a hug. And all her aunts gave her a kiss.

They named her Yuki. And after a few minutes of tears, and forceful prying, Yuki was given to her new dragon family.
