Incoherent

Chapter 23: One more to the equation

So today battle training is getting a step farther. Time for man to man combat. Well dragon to dragon combat. Every dragon section had to practice, no exceptions.

Azula:"TIME FOR COMBAT! SORA YOU WILL FIGHT FREYJA! INTO POSITION!"

Sora stepped into the middle of the stone ring and so did another girl with boy-short hair. The girls respectfully saluted each other and each left to their respective corner and got into battle positions.

Azula:"READY! BEGIN!"

Freija blew a thick flame breath to Sora, but she back flipped out of the way. Sora returned with a slick flame but Freija kicked it off. After a few hit and misses from both parts. Freija sliced her hand to throw a precise flame at Sora. Sora avoided it with a backbend but the flame boomeranged back to Sora. Sora stuck out her hand and caught the flame. It slithered like a snake around her body and blasted to Freyja. Freyja formed a forcefield to stop the deadly blow. The blow was so strong she fell. Everyone stared in shock.

Azula:"ENOUGH!.. Sora is winner... we are done for today."

Sora walked over to Freija and gave her a hand up.

Freija:"That was amazing! How did you do that?"

Sora:"I don't know. I just lifted my hand and..."

She looked at her hand. It was the same one Azula had burned. She still had the scar.

In the vegetation area their leader Flora was naming who Noemi would battle against.

Flora:"Well Noemi, since your still a bit new I'll give you our easiest. Lilith will be your opponent."

Noemi:"Lilith? But she's my instructor, she has to have more experience."

Flora:" You'll see why."

So Noemi and Lilith took their places and when Flora gave the mark Noemi prepared for Lilith's first move on her. But Lilith just stood there. Noemi signaled to her that she was ready for the fight but Lilith just crossed her arms.

Noemi:"Lilith, come on."

Lilith:"I refuse to use my precious gift for violence. I make love not war."

Noemi:"Just throw something, Lilith."

Lilith:"Oh fine."

Lilith punched the ground under her and Noemi felt the root movement under her. She braced herself for the worst. Suddenly a small buttercup sprouted before her. She sighed and relaxed her tense self.

Lilith:"A PEACE OFFERING!"

Noemi saw the frustration in Flora's face.

Flora:" Just throw something at her Noemi."

Noemi nodded and dug her hands into the dirt. She made the roots spread out and cling to Lilith's legs. They slowly crawled up and wrapped her around, tying her up to the neck.

Flora:"Good work Noemi. Lilith... just... I don't even know."

Flora just threw her hands up and walked away as Noemi untied Lilith.

Lilith:"That was groovy!"

Noemi laughed and they both left to the hangout, where the rest waited.

Noemi:"So, how'd it go?"

Linda:"Well Sora nailed it, Mei slipped while standing on water, Azami was doing fine until she spotted Smoke and buried herself and let's just say training with weapons really took a toll on him."

Haku was lying on the dirt, Azami pressing ice on his bare back.

Haku:"Those swords are heavier than they look."

Linda:" Duh, their made of melted dragon scales."

Pacifica:"Speaking of dragon scales, where's little Shinya? Its almost to quiet in here."

Noemi:"He had a test to do. He should be done by now."

Suddenly the guys heard Rogue call to them from the dragon entrance.

Rogue:" GUYS! YOU MIGHT WANT TO SEE THIS!"

Everyone flew over.

Mei:"Oh."

Azami:"My."

Sora:"Fucking."

Haku:"God."

Noemi:"SHINYA!"

Shinya:"And this is the dragon kingdom Gene!"

Gene:"Sweet."
