Part 41: Masked Murders

Linda:"So you dumped him?"

Azami:"Yep..."

Mei:"Wow. I'm surprised."

Azami:"Why?"

Sora:"We thought you'd bring all the earthquakes in the world at him."

Azami:"I thought about it, but decided not to."

Noemi:"Aw! It's nice you decided to do the right thing. You're getting more sympathetic Azami."

Azami:"Sympathy? Hell no I just didn't want to get killed by Kemper."

Haku:"That's the sister I know."

Today the group was unpacking in Dark Forests National Park. It was just some woods, but hey an adventure is an adventure, right? They backpacked up and started walking.

Pacifica:"Where should we go?"

Lilith:"What about the waterfall?"

Cecil:"Isn't the waterfall like a 2 hour walk away into the woods where almost no one goes?"

Gene:"Aren't we here for an adventure?"

Linda:"ADVENTURE!"

And so the 11 of then started walking deep into the forest. After about 3 hours of walking the group had had enough.

Shinya:"Are we there yet?"

Sora:"Apparently not."

Noemi:"Where did you say this waterfall was?"

Linda:"It's just around the corner. We just have to keep going."

Mei:"What choice do we have."

So the group kept walking. They started running in to ripped raggedy clothes thrown on the road.

Linda:"See! People leave their shit here all the time. We must be close."

They kept walking and ran into a destroyed bag.

Gene:"Even their backpacks? Wow."

Suddenly they found a ripped, destroyed baby bag that was still full of things. The group stopped.

Noemi:"That is truly creepy!"

Mei:"Let's get out of here!"

Cecil:"NO! This was recent! And it wasn't any wild animal!"

Shortly ahead someone let out a scream. It was Lilith who was now in crying hysterically. Before her was a destroyed baby stroller with some drops of blood. The group ran to her and saw the scene. Everyone started freaking out until they heard baby cries in the distance.

Pacifica:"Holy fuck COME ON WE HAVE TO HELP IT!"

The group ran threw the woods following the cries. Running threw branches, bushes, grass, scrapping themselves without a care.

They ran until they saw what they were looking for. In the scene were two dead bodies. And also two masked men, holding a baby girl with a machete in hand prepared to decapitate her. They stopped and stared at the teens.

Cecil:"Let. Her. Go."

The masked men kept staring. Suddenly they pulled out a gun. Cecil waited no time in transforming into her dragon self and speeding towards then, knocking one down. Pacifica joined in attacking the other but before she reached him, he sounded a whistle. About 6 more arrived. Linda got in to battle mode.

Linda:"YOU GOTTA TAKE THE BABY!"

Sora being the fastest ran towards her. The rest of the group held off their attackers. A few appeared and took away the bodies. Sora kicked off an attacker and grabbed the baby. Suddenly they started backing off until the all ran away.

Misty:"BACK TO THE CARS! NOW!"

Every dragon spread their wings, grabbed a human and speed flew to the cars.

Linda:"IN! NOW!"

Everyone hopped in and Linda and Pacifica sped off.

Azami:"Who were those people?"

Linda:"Dragon hunters."

Haku:"WHAT?"

Linda:"You heard me!"

Misty:"The masks they were wearing. Their dragon hunting masks. That couple must've been dragons. And so is that baby!"

Sora hugged the little baby girl tight.

Noemi:"What do we do?"

Cecil:"Keep her safe."

Linda:"I know where to go."
