Chapter 35: Connections

Eventually the couples parted ways for a bit. Sora and Rogue wandered around, Sora trying to get Rogue to lighten up and have some fun.

Sora:"Hey look, aren't those little kid dragons cute playing?"

Rogue:"Hardly when you think one day they'll grow to be colosal reptiles."

Sora:"Oookay how about we get some food?"

Rogue:"With the strict training we're doing we must stay fit. That won't last long if we're binging on carnival food."

Sora:"The fireworks are pretty..."

Rogue:"I see them every year. After age 6 they lose their splendor."

Sora:"Fuck... Oh hey look... Cage fights!"

Rogue:"Really."

Sora:"Yeah come on let's fight."

Rogue:"Okay."

In the game they placed them both in an iron cage to not lethally destroy each other. It was for dragons 16+ (no babies killing each other). Sora and Rogue went in and actually had a blast throwing fire balls. For one she finally saw him smile and even laugh once. Both strong opponents but in one fire throw Rogue did Sora caught the flame, as she did in the practice battle, and hit him back with it. Rogue fell to the ground and game over.

Sora:"Shall I help you up, my fair lady?"

Rogue:"Shut up! And yes."

Sora helped her date up and she walked to the stand to collect her prize. She picked a giant stuffed unicorn

Rogue:"Its cute for you."

Sora:"Oh its not for me. Its for you. What kind of gentleman would I be if I didn't give my date her prize?"

She shoved the unicorn in Rogue's arms and walked ahead. Rogue couldn't help but laugh and follow her. They walked to the outdoor food court where Noemi, Shinya, Azami and Smoke were getting food. They joined them at the table.

Noemi:"Sora! This cotton candy is amazing! Its sooo delicious!"

Shinya:"And soft! Its like eating a bunny!"

Noemi:"... I think I lost my appetite."

Rogue:"The popcorn has always been my favorite."

Suddenly Smoke sets down on the table a mountain of carnival food. He joyfully sits down next to Azami.

Rogue:"Uh bro... Isn't that to much?"

Noemi:"Yeah, you know what they say, less is more."

Sora:"And have you seen the size of your date?"

Smoke:"Its fine. I eat a lot. What she doesn't eat I'LL EAT!"

He happily started stuffing his face. He took an enormous chug of soda and burped it.

Noemi:"EW!"

Rogue:"SMOKE!"

Sora:"EXCUSE YOU!"

Azami:"COOL!"

Everyone:"WHAT!"

Azami took an enormous bite of food, a big slurp of soda and burped even louder. Noemi gave an ashamed look. Rogue was pleasently surprised. Sora laughed. Shinya was to busy looking at a fly. And Smoke was just shocked. Finally he spoke.

Smoke:"Second date?"

Meanwhile Mei, Gene, Linda, Stone, Haku and Misty were still playing games. Mei and Linda were standing in between the two games the boys were playing. Gene was playing supernote (whoever could hold a vocal note the longest) and Stone was in the Iron Man game (where you use a hammer to hit a lever so it can reach the top bell, only in the dragon world its a real iron hammer). Haku was in the ring toss with his not so cheerful cheerleader beside him.

Misty:"COME ON YOU MISSED TWO ALREADY! LAST FUCKING CHANCE! YOU THROW LIKE A PUSSY! MY GRANNY CAN THROW HARDER!"

Haku:"THERE I FUCKING ONE! NOW TAKE THIS GODDAMN FUCKING STUFFED ANIMAL, SHOVE IT UP YOUR VAG AND DO US ALL A FAVOR AND SHUT UP!"

Mei was talking to Linda as Stone's turn came in the iron man game.

Linda:"Aw look at that cute Rilakkuma bear!"

Stone smiled and got ready to hold the hammer. He couldn't lift it properly wearing his dress shirt. Stone with no shame, took it off, and flung it to Linda. He gave a flirty smile as he did so but all he got in return was Linda catching it while still talking to Mei. But at least he got a crowd of at least 9 girls cheering him on.

Mei:"You know Linda, Stone is very popular with the ladies."

Linda:"I guess... I never really noticed."

Mei:"Linda you should return those advances while you still can. He's sweet, romantic, detailed, handsome and strong. What's not to like?"

Linda:"You're catching it all wrong. He and I are such good friends. Besides yeah he is all the stuff you said, so why would he notice me? Such and imagination Mei."

At that moment Gene had won the supernote. Mei cheered for him as he walked over.

Gene:"Told ya I'd get you the bunny. 7 years of choir payed off."

Mei:"AAAWW THANKS! This has been the best date ever!"

Gene:"So that means they'll be a second?"

Mei:"Definitely! Oh look Stone is about to hit!"

Stone took deep breaths. He lifted the hammer high up. The light of the moon reflecting on it, so light would shine on the dragon mark on his shoulder. With one move he swung and hit with all his strength. The hit was so hard he cracked the bell. All the girls around him cheered and screamed as he heroicly walked back to Linda. He held up the enormous bear that was almost bigger than her.

Stone:"This is for you."

Linda:"OH MY GOD!  THE RILAKKUMA! STONE! THANK YOU! THIS! YOU ARE SUCH A GREAT FRIEND!"

She gave Stone a huge hug. Stone, shirt in one hand, disappointment in the other and a whole lot of what the fuck in his face, just stood there frozen.

Linda:"OH GET DRESSED THE DISPLAYS ARE STARTING!"

Stone:"OH FUCK!"

Mei:"COME ON I DON'T WANT TO MISS IT!"
