LOVE MECHAPTER ONE:
And they wouldn't let me sleep in peace hangga't hindi nila ako napipilit sumama. That's exactly what is happening right now.
Before me, stand three girls creating havoc inside my room.
Una, gulong-gulo na yung closet ko dahil kay Jean and there's a tall pile of clothes in my bed too.
"Where was that blue gown I gave you last year?" Jean asked while casually throwing the pieces of clothings she did not approved. "Exactly how many white shirts do you have?" she was frowning like she's so dissapointed.
I wear the same thing every day. White shirt tapos high-waisted jeans or shorts. Sometimes, I wear cropped tops or off-shoulder tops pero puti rin. Kapag nag-iba yan ng kulay o kapag nag-dress ako or skirt, ibig sabihin 'nun mahaba yung time ko para mag-ayos at hindi ako nagmamadali.
Isa pa, siya yung nagsabi na you can never go wrong with white shirts. And that's the easiest option!
She can do that, but I'm sure she don't want us to be late for the party.
"Wala kang primer?!"
I don't know. Hindi naman talaga kasi ako palaayos. Well, I don't usually exert effort in making myself look extra good originally. The first three years of junior high, naaayusan lang talaga ako kapag may school event or may occasion sa bahay. Nagbago lang when I started liking a certain guy during tenth grade. I made changes I wish I never did.
I'm not even good at putting lipstick. My makeup skills are as sloppy as kuya Glen's dance moves when he's drunk. Kaya tuwing sinusubukan kong mag makeup, I only get frustrated so I give up.
And Lisha brings me to the gym to workout.
For the past two years, it's like I'm back to the old Jessie again.
"Jessie, do you even have any highlighter?" Gigil na gigil talaga si Roselle the mukbang queen slash beauty guru. I think she's planning to throw everything inside that kit away and drag my lazy ass to a makeup store.
"Meron," sagot ko sa kanya.
"Where? Anong brand?"
"Nandun," I pointed the black bag that I use for school on my study table. "Stabilo. May neon orange at yellow. What do you like?" Alam ko naman kung anong highlighter ang tinutukoy niya but it's really fun to tease her.
