Daichi-san paced the gymnasium and we all settled down on the floor, as said that we were going to have a meeting regarding the upcoming winter tournament. The girls' volleyball team is here for the announcement, too.

I sighed and checked my watch and it was already around five in the afternoon as I sat down, feeling my exhaustion all at once.

I never felt so much exhuasted but today, after doing all those activities with Kei and the training the entire afternoon. I wouldn't have wanted to do it with Kei in public but I got carried away.

We all sat down and Kei sat just behind me while Hinata-kun sat beside me. My limbs hurt. I sighed and fixed my gaze over Daichi-san who stood in front together with Kiyoko-senpai and Yachi-san.

"Good afternoon, Karasuno players," He greeted with a broad smile, "I know you all are exhausted, but today I'm making a uh . . ." Daichi-san trailed, turning the paper in his hands, preoccupied as his hands fumbled with the pages, "Announcement for the winter tournament."

The players started to chatter, filling the gymnasium with comfabulation and babbling. Hinata-kun giggled, "I'm so excited for this winter tournament!" He said in a singsong voice.

I was a little enthralled and at the same time the excitement grew at the pit of my stomach as the people in the gymnasium grew louder. I wasn't pretty much paying attention over this, I merely forgotten about winter tournament because I had been focusing on Kei and my studies, the guilt sat on my chest as I tried to not think about it.

Though, on the other hand, my mom never cared that I joined volleyball. She told me as long as I kept my grades up, she wouldn't mind me keeping up with my club. My mom had always been pessimistic with sports as my main career, she thought it was mediocre.

"So, I guess all of you had heard about it," Daichi-san's voice was monotonous, he sighed before speaking, "This event'll take place in Tokyo."

"Awesome!" Hinata-kun agitated, as the clamoring went on through the gymnasium. He hugged his knees closer to his chest in excitement,

I shrugged my shoulders and chuckled towards Hinata-kun, "You're excited, aren't you?" I giggled.

Hinata-kun was beaming, his smile brighter than any sun, "Of course, I am!" He promulgated, "Why? Aren't you?"

"Kinda nervous." I chuntered, fiddling with my fingers.

The meeting did not end too long, after almost thirty minutes of listening to Daichi-san fumble with his words, stutter after stutter, the meeting had finally ended. The players shuffled on the floor, squeaking and sharp shrill of their rubber shoes were heard all over the gymnasium as the girls volleyball team exits leaving the boys volleyball team behind.

"Good work, everyone. I hope to see you next practice." Daichi-san dismissed but then started to speak again, "So, we would want to, once again, thank Hitoka Yachi for being with us for a year."

Everyone started to chunter and saying their goodbyes to Yachi-san, a small round of applause was given to Yachi-san. It was a sight that filled me with awe and reverence. I was never ready to say goodbye to Yachi-san, after all, she had taught me so much. In the half-light Yachi-san looks like the shadow she's become. Hunched over the baggage she could be anybody, and in a way I guess she is. I took our bond for granted, and in my naivety I'd thought it unbreakable.

Yachi-san stood in front, her sad smile plastered across her face, I just knew that smile so well even if I had only seen it once.

The sudden sullen feeling takes over me when she started to speak, "All of you here have been very supportive and people in the other teams envy us for the team spirit that we have," Yachi-san uttered, trying to be impervious as she speaks.
